Dev Update 21/03/2020 (Patreon)

Update time!

Alright, let's start with the obvious. The current situation is... challenging. My country is currently on lock down. All non essential jobs have shut down and anyone caught outside is getting fined. My personal situation isn't so bad. My day job already supported some amount of work from home, so moving to a fully remote operation was relatively easy. Though it is a travel related business so... we'll see how long it'll last. Luckily everything I needed to keep working on the game was already in my secret dev bunker. As long as the internet infrastructure holds out, I will continue. I can't really go out to do much of anything else anyway :)

Despite the somewhat chaotic week, I did manage to accomplish two rather significant things. I managed to support image based choices, which means instead of selecting from a menu of responses, you will sometimes be able to make choices by clicking on images in the game. This in turn allowed me to plow through the rest of the games intro (finally! That took forever). Next week I'm going to focus on the character introductions for each of the girls, as well as the actual game play loop that you will be released into once you're done with the intro.

I've been in contact with Phoenix. Things aren't great where she is either. Given the circumstances, I'm allowing her all the time she needs to get to a stable situation where she can deliver her usual quality of work again. Since I started prepping the art early this time, she's not the bottleneck (I am), so it shouldn't cause a delay at this point.

Oh, and thanks for your responses on the previous post! I'm taking them all into consideration.
