Update time!

Let's talk minigames. Some players love them, some players hate them. Personally, I think they're a nice way to bring some minor gameplay into a VN and are slightly more interesting than just button based choices. That being said, I realize some players don't like them, or struggle completing them, so as far as I'll be able to, I'll be making all minigames in Body Language skippable (without missing content).

That entire intro was to say, I've now implemented Body Languages first minigame! As you can see in the gif, it's extremely simple and would probably benefit from a lot more polish, but as a proof of concept for placing minigames in the middle of dialogues and reacting to their outcome, it does the job. As usual, my focus is on delivering on a concept first, with visual polish to be added in a later version.

I've also added some more fun sprite transitions and I'm continuing to work with Phoenix on the character animation task (it's a slow process). Assuming no plagues make it into my super secret dev bunker, I plan to complete the last 4 pages of the intro during next week.

Since Phoenix is tied up with the animation task, I'm considering bringing in another artist to work on backgrounds. I would actually like your input on this. Bell Masters backgrounds were basically just blurred out real world images. Would hand drawn backgrounds that match the character art style have been better? How much do you care about the quality/style of backgrounds in the game?

Thanks for your input, and have a great week!
