Update time!

This week was massive! Not only did I manage to get through more than half of the intro implementation, I also managed to find a replacement composer (last one did the internet thing and went poof). Revionbel got a rather complicated commission from me and delivered extremely quick. Much faster than I thought they would, so I had to scramble a bit to build up my music support earlier than expected. Which brings us to the attached video.

What you're seeing there is the basis for a dynamic music system. The way its set up, each of the three main girls has her own single instrument track (her theme). That track will play whenever that girl is on screen, and will blend seamlessly with the existing background music. Now, since more than one girl can be on screen this time around, all of the girls themes had to blend well with each other and with the background music. So basically, the more girls are active in the scene, the richer and more complex the music will become. I've wanted to make a system like that for a while now and I love how it's shaping out. Given all those requirements, I think Revionbel did a fantastic job composing the tracks.

Don't get too attached to the names in the video, they're still at risk of changing before release, but do let me know which name you think goes with which girl design :)

On the art side me and Phoenix are still figuring out the art process for rig based animations. It's slow work but once we reach a common understanding on one character it'll run much faster for the others.

Oh, and as a nice unintentional birthday present for me, it seems A video review of Bell Master went up recently, which explains the few new purchases I've seen over on itch.io and some of the new patrons (and a thanks and welcome to you of course :) )

have a great week!
