I'm very excited to get this story uploaded~ This one has been in the works since February, and I feel like a number of folks are going to really enjoy this change of pace. After all, I think I'm known nowadays for my rampagey and creepy stories, not so much for my gentle content. But here is Ga-Chan Girl, an extremely gentle story that's all about tenderness and delicacy. I love being able to flex like this~ and try some different topics~ Discovery is gentle and all, but it's also so intricate and slow... I don't get to show off this style of writing very often!

RedNin approached me with this idea, and it was such an amazing opportunity. This particular kind of idea, I've had my own thoughts on it for a long time. It's not a new concept, a world with artificial women that are "toys" of some sort and live alongside normal humans. I've thought a lot about worlds like this, and a few inspirations come to mind, namely something like Frame-Arm Girls which has a similar idea but goes for a more action-y route. With Ga-Chan Girls, I've been more focused on the daily life aspect, stripping away the toy-ish elements so that Ga-Chans can be respected more like pets or people rather than just actual objects.

Writing a world like that is more complicated than you might think...! It might be assumed to be easy, writing gentle stories where nothing severe or steep happens... but I think gentle stories, ones with genuine universes, are pretty tricky! I think for me, the biggest obstacle is my suspended disbelief around the ethics of this idea lmao. Like I try to imagine in the real world, if Apple or Hasbro or some shit suddenly started making tiny bioengineered people that exist to be... owned like pets, basically. It's a weird feeling for sure~ but I, hah, am a veteran size writer. Consider the problem tackled.

And by tackled, I mostly mean that those questions don't matter with how I've written things, haha. I mean, the ethics would be questionable only if we saw those worst ethics at play. But our protagonist, Miko, is a kind soul with full intent on taking care of a Ga-Chan Girl 100% as one should. She follows directions, gets a license to own and operate one... That alone really relieves my mind of having to deal with these ethics trip-ups, since Miko can just be trusted to be a good person~

Yukiko was a really cute tiny character to write, very classic! I was going for that particular ~moe~ charm, a girl that's timid and reserved. Even once Yukiko is comfortable wherever she is, I get the impression she'll still be itchy and easily spooked. I'm really looking forward to expanding more on her and her relationship with Miko! These two are already a cute pair in my eyes~

I hope you all can enjoy this gentle, slower-kind of story~ Expect more to come in this universe! RedNin wants to keep it going with more stories in the future, and continue to flesh out this universe. I'm looking forward to it! If you have thoughts, we both encourage you to join the Discord and chat~ We could all come up with some fun ideas that make this Ga-Chan world even more enjoyable. Thanks for the support, everyone~ Take care!
