I've noticed that a lot of my paintings have been based on more simplified forms lately. 

Those who have been following for a while will remember the complex textures and long process of bringing out the painting from them. That will surely come back.

I felt like with that I was getting too in to details too quickly and so while the paintings were interesting, I felt like they were losing form. 

And with a tedious process like that, it's important to be happy with the end product. So these more simple pieces are kind of a way to simplify that side of the process. Among other things. Big picture stuff.

**Programing note** I don't know if you get the memos and emails from patreon on your end, but they are making a lot of really interesting changes to the platform. I haven't gotten a chance to check out a lot of these new features. But I will soon. So watch out for that. Some of it looks really cool and I can see a lot of Choir potential in what they are trying to do.
