My thoughts on the show as a whole (before watching finale). Sorry, I was hoping to get this out before your finale reaction but was unable to. I liked the show. Yes, there were some episodes that were not great, but some that were. Not all the humor appealed to everyone, but for the most part it made me laugh. It surprised me quite a bit, which I enjoy in a show. At times it even shocked me. But again I like that. But even with all its comedy, it also had some real heart felt moments but more than that it didn't shy away from tough subjects. It addressed everything from religion, war, prejudice, sexual abuse, and sexual repression. It showed the damage that can happen to children from abuse. Whether that abuse is sexual, physical or emotional. It had stories about the abuse of the mentally handicapped and of those with emotional disabilities. It talked about the natural of heroics and what makes one a hero and what makes one a villain. We saw the results of what can happen to people thru abuse, neglect, loss, violence, rejection, war, and hate. We see the repairs that can be made thru the application of kindness, caring, acceptance, support, affection and love. The show was definitely weird and often silly. But it did so often to relieve the tension it created earlier with poignant subjects. We had a team leader that tortured, mutilated, and even killed those in his care to get what he wanted, even if this was done so he could protect his daughter is was still incredibly selfish and wrong. An evil Nazi puppet master, an insane man obsessed with power, an egomaniac that is a near omnipotent evil genius, a religious cult obsessed with ending the universe, and a vengeful actress that is willing to rewrite the world to get what she feels is owed her. These things are counterbalanced by good people as well. We have Flex Mentallo, a man with near infinite power but a gentle attitude. An ancient little girl with non-standard looks, isolated her entire life, yet all she wants to to join society and be a part of the world. A gender queer sentient teleporting street that is hunted and hounded but its only desire is to protect others. At the center of all this we have a group of damaged souls that thru pain, injury, loss and strife have learned to become heroes. Besides, how can you not love a show that gave us Admiral Whiskers, the most random fucking shit ever!

No the intro sequence has been the same the entire show. Like the show I liked the finale. It was happy to a degree. Some died but they did have a very long life, so there's that and at least both Cliff and Rita found some peace at the end. It wouldn't be Doom Patrol if there wasn't some silliness, some weirdness and at least one fart joke. They had said earlier in the season that Keeg would take Larry into a sun. I assume that's what 104 man became at the end there and it sounds like Keeg would be able to protect them. Allowing them to be together, in a kind of family. I see what Rogue meant when she said she has some good ideas as well as bad. Taking down the Bureau of Normalcy, good. Killing everyone, bad. I guess it will be up to Cyborg to see she doesn't go too far. So that wasn't Cyborg's daughter, just a student. I guess last season already addressed Dorothy's "happy ending". Still would have been nice to see her one more time. I'm happiest for Rita. I always felt she had it the worse and now she once again is unified and at peace. She has also found happiness and love. Good for her.
