Yes, that was Kevin Smith and he was with his acting partner playing their on screen personas, Jay and Silent Bob. It was surprising to see them at first but then I remembered, the same studio that made the movies that pair were in made the Scream movies. BTW, they also appeared in the Flash on the CW. I remember seeing this movie once a long time ago and thinking it was pretty bad. But upon rewatching it via your reaction, it was better than I remembered. I still think 1>2>3 though.

Yes, the killer was the guy in the coffin in the basement. But I figured something was suss with that. It was the only person killed that we didn't see killed. Courtney Cox Met David Arquette (Dewey) on Scream 1, they started dating in Scream 2, They got married just before Scream 3 (they had to cut their honeymoon short to film it. At first the script had 2 killers, like Scream 1 & 2, but it was changed due to story similarities with the Columbine killings. So Angelina was changed to a victim, but this created plot holes as you pointed out. The killer gets around to quickly for it to be one person. There are a bunch of other clues as well in the movie. A big clue is in the box set for the trilogy. In it Wes Craven list all the characters killed in the movies. Angelina is not listed.
