I'm guessing it's a loophole. Teal'c had grabbed RepliCarter's arm, she went into the event horizon pulling him in part way. The part that was out pulled back so they were rematerialized with him holding her arm still. On that Atlantis episode Ford's legs were sticking out the event horizon still but the 2 extras that were in the front cabin were completely in the event horizon so there would be nothing to grab on too, but if you grab on to something before it goes in you can pull it out as long as enough of you remains outside to have the leverage to pull It's funny with this. prior to watching these reactions I saw a thumbnail for a YouTube video saying all sci-fi shows have their own set of rules for their universe but Stargate is one of the view franchises that never really violated their rules which is true. They've added on to the rules, sometimes bent them a little but never a big outright violation

I feel like stargate is just a way more grounded Sci-Fi show which is what i love about it.

The interesting thing about some of the things in these last two episodes is that while we now know that Prometheus now has Asgard hyperdrives fast enough to get it to Atlantis and that they are currently preparing to do exactly that, but the people on Atlantis have no clue rescue is even possible and still believe themselves to be cut off with no way home. It's an interesting example of the audience knowing more than the characters, or at least one set of them. Of course, that's only if you follow both shows at once. People watching just Atlantis would be equally clueless about this. Also, my computer nerd side cringes at the scene where Replicarter upload data by inserting her hand into a monitory and says she's downloading it "directly." How do you download data into a monitor? That clearly isn't an all in one computer, just a monitor. It can't store or transfer data at all. She want to insert her hands into a server instead, or at least an actual computer hard drive that was part of the network. Although compared to the way most show's writers are clueless about computers, it's a pretty minor offense. NCSI and Bones, I'm looking at you!

The reason why we haven't heard about or seen the Replicators since they escaped in the season 8 premiere is because of the Ancient weapon. It was keeping them at bay the whole time. Now, thanks to Sam, the replicators are more powerful and are immune to its effects which means there's nothing holding them back anymore. And with Replicator Sam being their new leader, not only is the Asgard galaxy at risk again but so is our own as Replicator Carter has extensive knowledge of Milky. Sam really dropped the ball here.

On the bright side, it looks like Jack's request to Thor a few episodes ago has been granted by the Asgard High Council. Not only does the Prometheus have an Asgard hyperdrive now but it also has Asgard Beaming Technology as well. We've seen how advanced the Asgard's hyperdrive technology is throughout the many seasons of the show. The Asgard have used it to travel between their galaxy and our own many times so it makes sense that we would waste no time and immediately be planning a trip to Pegasus. Too bad Jack said SG-1 can't go.

1. So one thing we didn't think about when the idea was put forth what would happen if one open gate would go through another open gate ....We know for a fact that if you dial a stargate then you can't dial a 2nd stargate from that same location/planet at the same time (SGC Gate / Russian Gate) ....And since dialing requires some pretty exact coordinates it's not like you could let's say dial the gate on a ship in orbit of Earth and then fly it to Abydos or Chulak or some other world and have it go through some bigger gate there ...It would most likely lose connection cause of the same reason as SG-1 couldn't dial out on Apophis's ship in Season 1 ...The coordinates had changed .....I think at best you could only make the open gate connection somehow shift from one gate to the other ...Like the failsafe we've seen happening a bunch of times where something goes wrong with our gate and SG-1 comes out somewhere else ...I don't think you can get 1 open gate to go through another slightly larger open gate .....BUT... If you could... I think the smaller gate would just lose connection when it comes out whereever the bigger gate dialed to 2. Some episodes CAN be boring and the Jaffa centric episodes come to mind when I think of boring episodes too ...They ARE however part of the show and sometimes there's stuff in there that matters in continuity ...And the struggle of them becoming free is important ...But yeah ...The episodes themselves can be a bit boring to watch ...I've never skipped them though 3. And don't worry too much about "upsetting the fanbase" ...I feel like out of all the sci-fi fanbases I know ...Gaters are the most laid back people from my experience ....There's another sci-fi show which I won't mention by name but the show's message in my opinion is all about accepting the differences in other people and preaches a hopeful future and all that kinda stuff ....Their fanbase however is filled with toxic people who DON'T get the message of being open to change (and I've only encountered FEW that do) 4. True Froots... You too (Much like the Jaffa who still follow the Goa'uld) are short of a full box of crayons ...But y'know what ...That's part of what makes you you ....You can sometimes say such out of the box things that just make me almost die of laughing and I hope that never changes 5. I mean I prooooooobably am seeing shit ....But Jolene Blalock as Ishta does look a whole lot like Chris Judge's wife (we saw her in the Teal'c being a firefighter episode, she was a nurse) and YES. he DID. envision Jolene for the role .....To me.. It adds up ...But again I'm probably just seeing shit 6. You do have a point... Some letters in the Ancient alphabet created for this show DO look like they're letters with just pieces cut off of them ....Not all of them though ...The Ancient equivalent for "A" is a good example of a slightly cut of version of our "A" with the left side of it cut off .....The Ancient equivalent for "C" is just a blocky looking version of our "C" but rotated 90 degrees clockwards .....But then for instance you have the Ancient equivalent for "T" which looks like a frowny face ...It just depends on which letter you're looking at 7. Sooooo... Kind of a plothole here ...As we see at the end of 8x10 the SGC has now installed a jammer to prevent the gate from being beamed out ...First of all... Been a long time coming ...Thor and O'neill beamed the gate out back in Season 3 or some shit ....But more importantly ...We recently dealt with an episode that ended up with us having developed a way to block transporters (in Season 7 we managed to block Osiris from beaming out of Daniels house) ......Sooooooo... Why did we wait until now to install these jammers in what should be the most secure place on the planet? 8. So as we learned from 8x10 ...Apparently The Asgard have installed a new hyperdrive AND beaming technology on the Prometheus 9. Bit of an out of character dumbass move on Carter to just beam onto that ship like that without any backup ....And realistically.. The bad guy would've probably used the duck gun on Carter twice and just straight up killed her ...Luckily she was wearing plot armor 10. The Area 51 dude was an idiot for multiple reasons ....But in my opinion... The MAIN reason is that if I was in his position and accidentally beamed myself onto a cloaked ship ...I'd keep that shit to myself and then I'd start moving in my stuff ....Imagine having access to a cloaked ship equiped with transporter technology... You can go WHEREEVER you want WHENEVER you want ....Dude was stupid for giving that shit up 11. Yeah the fact that the Tok'ra lady died first and those Jaffa half a minute later doesn't make sense ...And nobody tell me it works faster on a Tok'ra or whatever that's just fansplaining ...The Tok'ra and Teal'c seemingly were located in what looked like a room with only one way in... The way that the Jaffa entered through ...Logic would suggest that those Jaffa would have died first ....This scene didn't make sense other than it was written so for the sake of drama 12. Also... I was low-key under the impression that all Free Jaffa were already using Tretonin ....I guess not ...Die free Jaffa Dude 13. And so now we get confirmation that the SGC is putting together a mission to send Prometheus to the Pegasus galaxy and find out what's happened to the Atlantis expedition ...It's nice to when shows reference eachother in this way ....I don't think this happens very often with spin-offs ...They kind of do their own thing (Arrowverse for example often ignored what was going on on it's other shows) but the little tidbits of information here and there on both SG-1 and Atlantis make the Gateverse seem much more connected than any other show I've seen 14. I'll give you that we can call them Lego Monsters ....But I'm not calling her Lego Carter ...That sounds kinda lame ....The correct name is Replicarter 15. Carter was naive.. She was much too trusting of Replicarters story ...O'neill basically saw right through the bullshit ....The moment Replicarter said Fifth made the lego monster immune but didn't do the same for Replicarter was the moment it became clear she was not there to make friends ...She was there to try and get a hold of the weapon technology and make herself immune 16. Bit of an oversight here ....Replicarter seemingly interfaces with a monitor to upload the cypher to the Alpha Site computer ....Given that our computers around the time of this episode weren't very fast to begin with and the cables not capable of very high speeds either it would take years to upload a file as big 3 Terrabyte .....A bit over the expected time they got since they said Fifth would be there within 2 hours 17. Aaaaand now Fifth is gone and Replicarter is the new big threat... Good job guys 18. You're very right... The way Replicarter was able to move back through the puddle and face Teal'c before leaving her arm behind doesn't make a whole lot of sense.. Everything except her arm had already entered the event horizon.. She technically wouldn't be able to make the necessary pull motion to come back through and face Teal'c ...I don't think anyone can give a solution for it without fansplaining ...I mean I've seen people use Ford as an example with his feet sticking out... By the explanation they gave I can add that in Fords situation he COULD have used his heels to shimmy his way back into the Puddle Jumper or move them around indicating he wanted to be rescued (he didn't do either of those things and had to be pulled back out of the event horizon) ...Like I said ...It's just fansplaining ...Replicarter realistically couldn't have done what she did ....But... TV Show gotta TV Show
