Everything you said at the end and everything you felt is the same as me and yes, a lot of other people. We had a 5 ep arc with Red Death and now, this? With a 13 episode, final season, and they knew that it was going to be the last season going in, they have the opportunity to give the audience a proper goodbye season that all fit together and deliver a kick ass close to not just the Flash but what they consider to be the Arrowverse as a whole. Yes, I know we still consider S&L part of it but they clearly distanced the show from the Canon. Also, with lackluster final seasons of a great majority of the other shows, as well as sudden cancellations, the expectation is that this would stand out and be the exception to the rule. But with the direction they are going, it seems like business as usual since Wallace took over. I won't give away anything about the rest of the season. I'm only commenting on up to this point. Seeing a filler episode that might as well have been called the Adventures of Cecille and Allegra, with a cameo by Barry and Iris, was disappointing and like you said, infuriating.

When this episode aired, several people called it the worse episode of the entire series. I don't know I'd go that far, but it's far from the season 1 and 2 days, that's for sure.

Becky Sharpe is The Gambler's granddaughter in the comics. On Stargirl they made her his daughter rather than his granddaughter. Like Wally is supposed to be Iris' nephew, not brother. They cut out Daniel West, Iris' actual brother and Wally's father. In the comics, Becky's father is The Gambler's son. When we saw The Gambler's teenage daughter on Stargirl, she was that show's incarnation of the same comic book character that we have here on The Flash. The guys at Blind Wave brought out The Gambler's rubber duck when they watched this epidode. It was also mentioned earlier this season that another bus meta was still alive post-Crisis. When we had the new Fiddler as one of the Rogues working for Red Death, Iris referred to this show's original Fiddler as still being alive (Izzy Bowin, a gender-flipped version of the comics' Isaac Bowin who we had on Stargirl). Cecile was in a couple of episodes in Season 1. Not at all in Season 2, because the actress got the lead role in her own show. That show was short-lived and got cancelled, so she came back to The Flash in Season 3. Maybe the writers were letting her be the lead of her own show again. LOL

Honestly, I've given up on complaining about this show. It's become so tiring because it constantly does bad things now. Eric has really turned one of the best superhero shows into one of the worst. What's the point of criticizing something if the showrunner doesn't even listen to the fans? That's exactly why I went into this season with low expectations because I knew what to expect with Eric. I genuinely hate being negative. You know I'm always the one defending every single thing in a show I love, even when I'm obviously wrong (lol). I just can't do that with The Flash anymore. I haven't even seen any of the future episodes, but I just know that Eric is going to fuck up the finale somehow. He just can't help himself. I truly hope I'm wrong, but I'm not very optimistic about this one. I just wish that someone who genuinely cares about The Flash had become the showrunner in season 6, so the show wouldn't be this bad. This season makes season 5 look like a masterpiece in comparison. I really hope this isn't the last time we'll ever see this version of Barry. Now, I'm going to stop talking about this because it gets me too wound up, and I don't like being mad. Edit: This was originally one big paragraph but i split it into multiple since i know you hate long paragraphs.

Remember when Cecile first showed up and we were so happy for Joe, and then they were gonna have a kid together and we were so happy for them, and then she was a background character for a while cause they didn't know what to do with her, and then she went on to take over the entire show for some reason. Good Times!

Okay, I'm gonna be very straight up. Alot of naughty words coming up in quick succession. I've never been closer to straight up hating an episode of the Flash. It is so bad and boring, I straight up fell asleep the first time I watched it. Usually I try to see the positive in these episodes, I've been an avid defender of many and most things this show has given us but not this time. To waste and I mean truly waste an episode of the last 13 is making me straight up mad. An episode featuring all of the most boring characters of the show, a dumbass plot that made me groan when I wasn't half asleep and no Flash in sight. I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY MADE A FLASH-LIGHT EPISODE IN THE LAST FUCKING SEASON, OH MY FUCKING GOD, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK I'm doing something I've only ever done once before and not watch the reaction to this Flash episode. I've never been this negative about an episode of the show, not even with Rayo de Luz, the Allegra episode of season 7, which I also skipped your reaction of. That one I just didn't care for. It was the low point in a season demolished by Covid, whatever. This episode feels to me like a "fuck you" to Flash fans and my only response is "fuck you too" to whoever was involved in the creation of this story and whoever greenlit it for season 9. This is rightfully so the lowest rated episode of the entire show.
