I felt this episode was a little better than the first episode. I think the story telling here was better. I kind of find this relationship between Mariah and Shades interesting. At first I thought he was just using her but after seeing him lose it and kill the guy insulting there relationship. I'm not sure. Could be Shades was insulted being called her gigolo because it demeaned him and he was embarrassed by what he has to do to control her. Or he may genuinely care about her. I'm not sure now. The stuff with Mariah's daughter, Tilda, is interesting too. It looks like Bushmaster's strength comes from some herbal concoction. Yes, Claire shouldn't have been able to put Luke's should back in joint so easily. They should at least have showed her using some kind of chain hoist or something to pop it back in. I get what you are saying about Clare and Luke's father. She's pushing to hard on it. Luke can't forgive his father if he doesn't feel it. She said her piece now let it go at the least for a while. If Luke decides he wants to try a reconcile great, but if you push it too hard you only alienate Luke from you. It has to be Luke's decision. Yeah, can't tell if he killed the guy in front of son or not but either way, not great. Thing is its kind of Claire's fault. She for pushing Luke to hard on his relationship with his dad, then he walks into a situation were a father is hurting his own son. This gets Luke venting this rage on this guy. Pushing Luke to go too far. I like the music but you are right, they didn't need to keep switching the camera back to the band, it distracting. Show the fight with the music in the background.

Yeah, the whole "you only have one mother/father in this world" is an old world ideal. It also doesn't account for how different each situation can be. Parents are certainly capable of abuse, violence, neglect and other messed up things towards their kids. Like for example, *The Boys spoiler* Billy Butcher's father was a real piece of shit and he had every right to want nothing to do with his old man. We don't know much about Luke's relationship with his father and neither does Claire. She is pushing him to reconcile without knowing the full story, which is never a good idea. I get that she loves him and she wants to see him be happy and make peace with the people that were important in his life but she is being very tone deaf. I think this season is shaping up to be better than season 1, at least so far but time will tell. I get what you're saying about most of the Netflix Marvel seasons as of late being medocre. Since I can't give spoilers, I will just say I think completing them you will find to be worth it.
