I realized when you called what Bizarro Jon was wearing clothes instead of a costume that the episode's director was very careful not not show that he was wearing a costume and had powers, so that's why I didn't actually say where the costume is from. Sadly, that had been spoiled when I watched it, as his costume was all over the internet weeks before the episode aired. Its Superboy's (Conner Kent's) original Reign of the Supermen costume. Back when he was a flying rebellious teenager stereotype with no real personality of his own. As such, it's never been seen in any of his adaptations that I am aware of, and it kinda fits the look of this version of Bizarro World, so I like that they used it. Bizarro world being a cube is also from the comics, although it was otherwise quite different. Inhabitants of it included Bizarro Batman, the Worlds Worst Detective, Bizarro Flash, the Slowest Man Alive, Yellow Lantern, the Man Who Knows Great Fear, and Zibarro, who is Bizarro's Bizarro. None of which is relevant to the show's version, but I think it's fun. As for how Bizarro got his signature corrupted look, it's not outright stated, but they mention a couple of times that he frequently uses Kryptonite to make himself stronger, so the implication is that it's a side-effect of Kyptonite abuse, and possible addiction.

Question: Is Bizarro Jonathan's leather jacket made from Kryptonian cows? Why is it bullet proof?

This episode was fairly divisive when it came out because people saw it as filler and out of place. I think those people are crazy. I love this episode much for the same reason you do. Plus it sets up the rest of the season nicely. I do like how they gave Anderson his redemption in this episode. Obviously couldn't say anything prior to this episode but the main problem with Anderson besides his own ego was that he was missing crucial info that Sam just never thought about. Sam knew Clark was Superman and his family so he KNEW why he acted the way he did with secrecy. Anderson didn't know this so he interpreted Superman's secretive nature as a sign of villainy. Once he learned that he was Clark, and also seeing how ruthless Ali was, he understood completely just how wrong he was. Shame he had to die though.

In some versions of Superman, his invulnerability is due to a force field he projects that also protects his clothes. That would explain the jacket. It's not an explanation often used, though.

I like how clark's superbrain was able to adjust to the backwards speech bizzarro was probably unable to because he roasted his mind and body with kryptonite.

Jonathan-el had a power that Superman didn't have... Supercringey Handgesturing ....The fuck was up with that attempt at doing an ''S'' symbol with his hands ....UGH.. And the smile on peoples faces every time they did it?! I cringe just thinking about it The rest of the episode was good though

I love this episode it's my favorite one of season 2 I just like seeing different realities seeing scenarios with our characters and seeing what they did differently We see on this earth that the family is famous which is weird but I like it Now we are going to get a fight between bizarro Johnathan and Jordan which I'm excited for that And seeing tal and Clark a healthy brother relationship was sweet I can't wait for the next episode because every episode is amazing
