Alot of people are upset about the Vampire being affected by Holy Water mistake but honestly, i feel like this was an honest mistake. I even forgot about it and i watched it all right before this show aired. Also the original show never directly stated that holy water doesnt work on vampires, they just never used it and hinted at it not working. So maybe they were lucky with that mistake. I feel like the story is finally coming together. It feels more connected the more we watch. I like that. Im hoping they wrote the finale with the possibility of getting canceled in mind just so we arent left hanging. I liked this episode. I love how they are able to do monster of the week and story in the same episode. Supernatural was either strictly story or strictly monster of the week. With this we can have the best of both worlds. Have a fun little side story with the main story progressing as well.

I honestly feel like they are just saying ok, so Supernatural happened but this doesn't have to be a prequel that will 100% follow a lead up to the events of the first episode. They are making the show its own thing, while adding cameos and characters to keep the SPN fans watching. Of course they can't deviate from the fact that John and Mary get married and have Sam and Dean but beyond that, they are being loose with the rules because well, it isn't SPN. This tends to happen when you don't have the same people involved.
