Found you recently and trying not to comment too much until I get caught up, but this person/story is NOT originally referred to as the woman in white. La Llorona literally translates to the weeping woman, which is why that's how Juliette translates it. I know Supernatural refers to her that way, but they use that as an extension of the weeping woman, which is the original translation. She is most often associated with children, though not always and as someone else mentioned, there are a lot of variations to the story.

You will definitely start to see more of Juliette in this season as things progress.

That's why I originally said to avoid the title. I couldn't remember if they called The Woman in White La Llorona in SPN. I saw it from the opposite direction since I watched Grimm before I watched SPN. As soon as I saw her in SPN pilot I was thinking hey. ... that's La Llorona. The story of her is a little different but both are accurate as far as the fable of her goes, some say she kills men others say children. It depends on region where told.

Yeah Elizabeth Tulloch was born in California but was raised in Spain and other South American countries, she also considered at one stage Spanish as her main language.

Yeah she was raised in Spain then moved to South American Countries that also primarily speak Spanish, sorry i didn't add more emphasis on that.
