Regina splitting herself feels like the writers trying to do that old saying of "having your cake and eaiting it too" because they wanted the Evil Queen back but didn't want to undo Regina's redemption

This season is definitely not great but i always enjoy going on these journeys with you. You were the first reactor i ever watched i didn't even know reaction videos were a thing and 3 years later you are still my favorite reactor.

Yeah, having grown up in the New York/New Jersey area, I can confirm that Henry would have been laughed at, thrown stuff at and probably beat the hell up. That scene was very cringey and kid oriented, even for a show called OUAT.

Out of the first five seasons I think this one is my least favorite. I had problems with both the Dark Swan/Camelot and the Underworld storylines and didn't find them as interesting. Henry getting people to make wishes was, as you said, something that totally wouldn't happen. I imagine he probably would've been ignored or mocked. It's the type of thing that shows do that makes me ask who thought that it was a good idea.

Yes, I do believe that writers needed a way to bring the Evil Queen back without ruining Regina’s redemption arc, and I completely agree with you about not liking that Regina separated herself from her darkness instead of dealing with it’s consequences. However, I would much rather this than having Regina go back to being dark, she’s had so much great character development and it would’ve made me so mad if they turned her evil again, especially considering Henry.

This season has definitely been the worst to me so far, remember feeling this way years ago on the first watch and same again now. 5A was the strongest half imo, liked some of the stuff they did there but wish they went further with the dark Swan story arc. 5B was a completely messy, poorly written set of episodes which totally missed the mark. I remember beforehand being excited to see what interesting or unique take the show would do with the Underworld, but honestly they shouldn't have even bothered. The whole time it felt like we were just in Storybrooke, it didn't feel anything like the Underworld in both Greek Mythology or the Disney film. All the arc really did was cheapen the effect of death in the show. Why should the audience care when a character dies if we know they're just chilling out in an afterlife which doesn't seem that bad. Why should we care cause if the writers really want to we can find a contrived way to go to the afterlife and bring back characters who probably should stay dead. Imo what happens after death should have remained ambiguous, just as it is irl. And even worse they spent half a season in the Underworld and barely touched upon Greek myth at all. One Hercules episode which wasn't that great and that was it, very disappointing. Tbh the myths could have easily filled an entire season of the show if they really went for it. Would have been great to have properly seen Olympus and all the God's, especially the history between Zeus and Hades. It could also have been a great opportunity to delve into the inner workings of the show's universe, where did these Gods come from? How powerful are they? Did they create the universe and all the realms we have visited? And then we finish the season with the Evil Queen. Don't get me wrong, have loved Regina since season 1 but bringing the Evil Queen back is a step in the wrong direction. Feel like the Evil Queen story is done and the writers should focus time on developing more of the large selection of characters who barely get a looking. At this point it often feels they are bogging down the leads by adding pointless backstories or side adventures for them which sometimes ruin what has previously been established and conflict with past plots. Overall poor season.

1. I'm guessing there's residual magic on that one crystal yeah.. Since they were supposed to only work when united? 2. Sooooo.. Since I had to seperate these 2 episodes in Handbrake.. There MAY be some slight hickups here or there.. Maaaaybe.. And if so that might be the "laggy" part you noticed.. Sadly that's the price we pay for wanting 2 episodes instead of 1 big finale.. It doesn't always happen though.. Remember I fixed Season 15 of Supernatural entirely with Handbrake 3. Henry sure ain't no Cisco.. Operation Mix-Tape.. Yeahhh.. You can do better mah dude! That name ISN'T fire 4. I'm guessing he brought the pen back with him.. Did he actually use it in the underworld? I'm a bit fuzzy on that.. He probably did.. I'm guessing it was restored then and just ceebed on the whole asking anyone for permission to free a life from the underworld or whatever 5. Did nobody have magic in Season 1? Not even Regina and Rumple? It's been so long ago... I mean Regina sort of had to right? She's the one who created the town? Put some sort of shield type thing around it to hide it from the world? 6. All good questions... How did they get out of town? ..Writers be writing 7. Doomsday!!! ...Ok so FULL DISCLOSURE.. When I was seperating these 2 episodes I caught a glimpse of his face.. I knew he was gonna show up.. But this is still cool... Sam Witwer is a pretty good actor 8. Yikes... Poor Henry.. Emma is one of them mums who knows how to retreive the search history on a computer 9. Yeah this library looks fake as FUCK. ...Check the books behind them.. They're gigantomous compared to the actors in some shots 10. Riiiiight.. And putting both hands behind your back doing "a stance" is not sus at all when you're in a cage 11. HA! Yeah Froots... They'll totally buy the lie now.. SMH 17. They probably couldn't get the actress to appear since she was preggers so they put Belle in a box as some sort of way to compensate for her absence 18. The story of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde was set in London... The show has clearly taken some creative liberties as to what 19th Century London looks like.. I've been to London once.. I don't recall any weird looking shit like that 19. Yeah.. AS. IF. New York wouldn't be in total chaos seeing a purple storm like that in the air.. Also.. Yeah I was about to say.. Splitting Regina into a good and a bad version is taking the easy way out.. Trying to be good is supposed to be a struggle.. Great.. Cool that it worked on Hyde.. But don't do it to a well established character 28. Hold up... Soooo.. The first thing she does when she's seperated herself from her evil self is.. Kill.. Her evil self??? Welp... Being good lasted about 20 seconds 29. Oh how much do you wanna bet that everyone and their oma will all of a sudden forgive Regina now after they find out she's seperated herself? Yeah this is dumb 30. I mean.. Obviously Doomsday is gonna be part of Season 6 and that's kinda cool.. But I do agree.. I'm not really seeing how this is going to be an exciting villain.. We'll just have to wait and see
