Sam wasn't talking about Lucifer taking over his body being an invasion, I think he was talking about what Lucifer did to him in the cage and after when he drove Sam crazy.

It was kind of a call back to Bobby Singer when Rowena yelled Bollocks! (Balls!) when she realized she couldn't abandon them. Bobby when frustrated would yell Balls! as well.

Something about this episode felt "off" to me. Part of it was all the creepy sexual innuendo stuff that seemed a bit Extra. Not that I would have minded it, if it were done better. Maybe it was the writing, or directing. Odd, because I actually like both the writer and the director for this episode. The writer just seemed to be writing as if they didn't really know how to use angels - or how useful Cas and Gabe could have been in the tunnel. There shouldn't have been any problem with the vampires. But, Gabe was low on power. I don't know how strong Cas is right now. Maybe they could have addressed that. Cas and Gabe should have been the ones taking the lead. They don't have anything to fear from vampires. On the plus side, there was some scares back in supernatural. It's been a while since an episode/scene has actually felt creepy or scary. Jump scare time! Where the heck where Cas and Gabe when the vampires were attacking? And there's NO WAY Dean would have left without checking on Sam at least. I wonder what apocolypse universe's Heaven is like. Sam would have gone there - if they have Reapers. Unless they took him to Hell. So where are demons? Did AU Michael get rid of them? So many questions! Maybe they closed the gates of Hell in this universe. Jack could have brought Sam back!
