To me, Chase must have known that they stole the tech from him. Meaning that he knew that they couldn’t break the tech and needed to break into Kord. All he had to do was wait to get word that they broke into Kord then wait for the Feds to get the next phone call

Diggle was saying the hood as the object, the piece of clothing as a symbol or metaphor for him being a hero not the monster. He wasn't saying "the hood" as in the title or superhero codename.

Chase deserves more credit I think... like he said he’s always been 10 steps ahead. It’s not a stretch imo that he was aware that his identity was soon to be compromised.

I'm with Shan on this. There was no way he could know he was compromised in that exact moment. And how would he get word about Kord, he was in complete isolation with Marshals. As for the phone message they got, for all Chase knew, it could have been a Grumpy Cat meme he was showing his partner.
