I agree that it was a cheat to have her be cured, because it hadn't worked on a human before but with her it did. I think though, a lot of shows do that. Main characters almost always have plot armor but recurring characters, even minor ones, will survive against the odds too. Like you said, it would have sucked if she died but can't help feeling like it was convenient that she didn't. As far as the cure itself, yeah it was pretty weak sauce. They were never able to find one in the lore and now, someone from the British Men of Letters just happened to try but it wasn't successful but then now it was and it was a lot like the vampire cure.

it was similar to the vamp cure but sire blood isn't exactly a new trope but it did have other ingredients that weren't aware of and would have no idea about. It took having the British Men of Letters to know about because like they have always said about them and the american chapter they have knowledge and books no one else does. They wouldn't have just tried something out before because it wasn't just the sire blood so how would they have done that and they risk killing the person. how is this different than not knowing about a vamp cure and than somebody(the campbells) come along and give you new info you would have no way of knowing before. somehow things that were ok before are criticized now.
