The first season is rough, they retooled the show from season 2 onward, brought in a few new faces, and it get real good. But if the camera work is throwing you off then...

I also do not care for politics 🤹‍♀️ which is why when this show first aired in Australia; I didn't watch it. It wasn't until last year when I crashed on my brothers couch one night that I first saw it. He just had it on as background noise while we were playing Monopoly with his roommates. It was just some random episode from season 3 and I got hooked. Went back and binged it from the beginning and ended up loving it. Which was weird for me because I don't usually like mockumentaries either. I've never understood the hype for 'The Office'. (The UK or the US version.

2021-07-09 11:25:42 The best part of Parks & Rec is Oswalt Patton's extended filibuster; almost 9 minutes of ad-lib speculating on the plot of Star Wars VII. The aired version was only a couple minutes. The show is a great watch for anyone who likes to watch a Libertarian politically beat up on a confused Democrat. Some people have no interest in that. It is also the show where Chris Pratt showed he can be a lovable jerk - exactly what James Gunn needed for Starlord. Almost worth watching just for that.

I think Parks is one of the best shows ever but i get that if you don’t like the Mockumentaries style then it’s probably not for you. Season one is trash and season 2 is just okay; however, 3-7 are amazing. The amount of politics is a lot less in future seasons as well as shaky camera but it is still the same format
