I watched Merlin religiously when it came out! The cgi isn’t great but this show is like 10 years old and had a relatively low budget as it was only on BBC and this was only the first episode. Like any show it gets better after time. I enjoyed watching this with you, even tho hearing John Hurt’s (the dragon) voice hurt my heart :( oh and the defo wasn’t Gilly haha

I somehow forgot how terrible the cgi was. The show is pretty good though if you get past that.

My GF introduced me to this show, and while it can be very childish and cheesy it has a lot of charm to it. Hope this one can join the roster of shows you're going to complete

This is my all-time favorite show. Whoever paid for you to watch this I want to give them a hug. It can be pretty cheesy and as people have said the graphics leave something to be desired, but what really makes this show special are the characters. If you choose to react to it (and I realllly hope you do. I mean I named my cat Merlin for a reason) you will absolutely fall head over heels in love with the characters.
