Currently snowing like crazy here, but it's supposed to warm up enough overnight that the snow will turn to rain, making the roads wet, wet, wet, which I'm sure will promptly freeze as soon as the sun sets tomorrow night. YAY!

Do you have some good methods for coping with the heat? When it gets super hot, I put a wet towel around my neck. Meanwhile I had to get my cat into the house so that he wouldn't freeze to death over night. Good luck with the heat!

Do you have air conditioning? I find even a small window unit can cool a whole house, especially with a turbo fan also. They are much cheaper and more efficient than they used to be.

Yeah, it's gotten to the point where it's impossible to get through summer in Australia without some form of cooling element. You can get a portable evaporative cooler from Target for $99 that should do the job of cooling your room down. I got one last year and it's been a life saver ever since. Just keep it filled with water and ice and you're good to go. Stay cool, this weekend is going to be brutal.

I don't envy you. I just read in the news here in Denmark, that it could get as hot as 49 degrees down there. I am happy with the 7-8 degrees we have here now. :)
