Really love Jaimie Alexander because of this show. It was weird at first to see her outside of her role as Sif but she's so good in this show that I now associate her more with Blindspot than the MCU.

second time seeing this episode; quite enjoyed it though still have a problem with the reveals of her background and the guy she was training with. thought it was far too premature. should have been held off till near the end of the first season, perhaps much later. the seal bit, perhaps the third episode, leave everyone guessing as to why she's so bloody awesome sorry, i'm a writer, so i tend to pick things apart haha overall, I like this show, didn't have time to keep up with it. will have to binge watch someday.

I was going to say the same thing. Plus, while she's popularly called the Statue of Liberty, the actual name of the statue is "La Liberté éclairant le monde," which is French for "Liberty Enlightening the World."
