That was the same actor from Anne. Just playing a different character. The shows do that a couple times.

"Screw it, I'm gonna do it." :) This is probably too late for you then, but I was hoping to alert you (this isn't a big spoiler) that the next episode has something of an American Thanksgiving Day theme to it, so you might want to brush up for a few minutes on the basics of that holiday before watching just so that some of the concepts will land better for you. Say, where's Angel 1x06? :)

Watching you dance and sing along to the theme songs of Buffy and Angel is the best part of following you on Patreon. We all do it and it’s cool to see you do it too. I dance and sing along with you every time. 😝. By the way, if you’re interested the theme song for Angel is called Sanctuary and it’s by Darling Violetta. Yes I have Buffy and Angel soundtracks/score soundtracks. Though you may want to hold off on full albums (that is if you’re interested in stuff like that and you care) because they have music from eps you have not yet watched. But you could definitely check out the Angel theme if you want to.

Lots of times we go by our last names in the US, especially if your first name is common or you don’t like it as much. Do people do that in Australia too? It’s one of those things I have never thought about before.

UTU49

Maybe referring to people by their last name is something done less often in Australia and more often elsewhere. Maybe North Americans are influenced by the prevalence of sports teams. It's natural for your teammates to refer to you by your last name, when it's written right on the back of your jersey -- as in with hockey in my experience. I can think of one friend of a friend who ALWAYS goes by his last name. I find these regional differences interesting.

Timotey Kuhn

Oh absolutely on that point. For my particular part, I grab a set of drumsticks and air drum along to the theme song of both. 😆

"They're gonna eat Doyle's brains? So much for good demons." - the best reaction and the most awesome face ever! :D Some great reaction faces from you in this one :D I love how you are so into the Doyle/Cordy at the beginning, I was loving it too. I also love your excitement about the crossover. I always feel so sad for Doyle, how difficult to grow up not knowing you are half demon and then suddenly spouting face spikes when you are 21 with no warning! It feels like he really thought that Harry was just trying to make him feel better, that Doyle so didn't accept himself , he didn't realise that she did. Which seems to be why he's been so reluctant to let Cordy know. P.s Harry would have loved Uzbekistan. It's a beautiful country with lovely people, and amazing mountains, music, dance, food and historic architecture. I miss it. ( Lived there 3 years).

Oh yeah, something I think I may have only noticed this time around - or forgot and then noticed again. At the beginning of the ep, Doyle says that he and Harry married young at 19, but at the hen party, Harry says to Cordy that Doyle had his teaching qualification before they even met !! Massive inconsistency within the episode there - unless Americans don't even need teacher training?? ( 3 year course to train to teach infant/primary in the UK - can't remember what they call that stage of school in the U.S).

Bellatronics

In the UK it was extremely common - maybe universal to only use last names for the students at posh boys private schools. Maybe still is. So for men that went to those schools, they have a habit of calling their friends and colleagues by their last name, used like a first name. You see it in a lot of dramas and films set among the English upper classes. It's a sure sign of poshness over here :) Of course, the most blatant example in Buffy is Giles. He would have gone to a school like that, perhaps why he goes by Giles instead of Rupert? Or MR Giles when at work at Sunnydale High. With Oz though, I always just thought it was a cool nickname, as I don't think I've heard it much in U.S tv & films - but since WB & uvula say it's common, maybe I'm just forgetting. It definitely never seemed weird to me when I was watching Buffy & Angel first time around. I have a feeling that it's common in Ireland too, though without the English class connotations, hence Doyle doing it?

Bellatronics

Btw, I had a different Spike icon on Patreon, and changed it a couple of weeks ago when I started commenting on your posts ASR - so as not to be spoilery! Wasn't anything major, but from later than you've watched with a character you haven't met yet :)

"I think it, I say it. It's my way" Love you Cordy.
