I just said this in another comment, but I have to say it again -- I love your reactions because they're so close to my own the first time I watched the show. I remember watching this episode and really liking Parker, too. Sometimes I forget about that, after seeing the next episode! Edited to add: in a lot of colleges in the U.S. they don't let freshmen choose their own roommate. Why they do that, I have no clue, but at my college, you didn't get to choose your roommates until your sophomore year.

Yea I didn't get to choose mine either. But when someone leaves the dorm, you can put in a recommendation, which is probably how Willow got in there at the end. That's why I got my own apartment off campus... I couldn't deal with the Kathys. lol

2021-07-09 13:20:17 I'll tell you why they don't let freshmen pick their roommates for their first dorm room ,it's to give them a way to practice or learn to live with and compromise with strangers bc that's the way the real world is supposed to work Comprise & Putting yourself into someone else's shoes it's actually something most ppl learn in preschool💜

That or lazy administrators who don't want to have to deal thousands of roommate requests. They just put you in the system and it's places you where it places you. They don't care. Well, they check for some compatibility stuff, but I don't think it works out that well. The way it's supposed to work is, you can try to move after being placed.

Well, it's not the first episode, but it's close. I watched this one several times before remembering that the beginning of season 3 had a disgusting demon face removal as well. What can you say, that sloppy sticking sound mixed with the visual of skin pulling away from a face has shock value. Every reactor always appear to think Buffy just ripped the face off some poor girl before a few seconds pass and they get that she's really a demon. Makes for a good reaction, lol.
