This is not the series finale. They are developing a 4th season and planning beyond that. There is also a movie in development, which will likely be the next release. The season wasn't as good as the first 2, that is pretty much universally agreed on. Hopefully in the 4th season they will have a more Mando centric arc.

Not my favorite season. Between s3 and Book of Boba Fett, I think they just didn't know how to do the show without Grogu, so s3 comes off a bit clunky. I have higher hopes for S4 and the movie.

Yeah they forgot what made the first 2 seasons so great. They nerfed Mando and made him give way to other characters stealing the spotlight. Din is a badass and they need to get him back to bounty hunting. Also too many cameos and side stories this season.

Patrick - Excelsior

I personally enjoyed this season. For me, the story is The Mandalorian, not The Din Jarin. So as long as Mandalorian are in the forefront, I'm enjoying it. I thought the stories interesting, with plenty of action. As far as cameos, unless you are deeply into the lore of Star Wars, there are hardly any at all. Besides, I LOVE cameos. I'm sure you've been told this Shan, but the droid here R5 was in A New Hope. He is the droid that Luke's Uncle Owen bought from the Jawas. He blew a motivator causing Owen to ask for R2D2 instead. It is a long held theory that R5 knew that R2D2 was on a mission and to aid him he blew his motivator intentionally so R2D2 would get sold instead and have a chance to escape to find Obiwan. A truly heroic droid. The reason Gideon was sampling Grogu's blood was so he could use Grogu's DNA crossed with his own DNA to make clones of himself with Force abilities. These clones would be made so they must obey him, this would give him a very powerful army. Troops with Jedi abilities, Mando armor and Imperial ships. Din Jarin didn't get his jet pack back, if you look its white, he took that one from one of the Stormtroopers he killed. Yes, I think Favreau was making it so if Disney didn't decide to make a 4th season this would work as a finale but left openings for a new season if approved.
