Character Preview: Goblin Lord (Patreon)

    "A goblin born with an ravenous hunger that puts the lives of all those around her at risk, her insatiable lust for flesh has caused her stomach to stretch out considerably giving her a great capacity even at her small size. Feeding their lord is one of the chief functions of a goblin tribe, and if enough captives cannot be acquired it falls upon the people of the tribe to fill her gut themselves. Feasting on so many lives has made her grow immensely powerful and awakened her demonic heritage, granting her access to powerful black magic which she channels through her scepter, a gilded symbol fashioned into the cruel jaws of a catchpole—favorite tool of the goblins. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

     In goblin society, cannibalism is not only not frowned upon, but the more people you can eat, the more you will be admired. In fact, along my travels I have found that the most effective way to gain the respect of a tribe is to gulp down a few of the locals, just one of the reasons goblins were some of my favorite monsters to live amongst. It follows that goblins do not pick their leaders based on wisdom, charisma, bloodline, or any of those typical human concepts, but instead who can stuff the most people down their fat gullet and keep them there. Thus, their lords are chosen. Greedy, gluttonous, and generally quite foolish goblins, if you're unlucky enough to meet one face-to-face outsmarting her will be far easier than overpowering her."
