Hey guys, I hope you're all well, I wish to thank everyone for pledging this month, the Rem & Ram pic was so successful that I gained quite a lot of new pledgers. Can't say much the same for the SAO pic, haha

Anyways! I believe it's important for me to let you guys know a thing or two about me. So I'm a girl living, who is currently maintaining two jobs. As a teacher and a Patreon creator, you can probably understand how busy I am. This may come as a shock to many, because who in the world has the energy to maintain two jobs at the same time? And you're right, it's not that easy, it burns you out relatively quick, but the reason I maintain two jobs has a lot to do with financial support.

So why am I making this post?

  • The point I'm trying to make is that I haven't felt that good about my art as of recent. The SAO one really did a number on me, because it didn't feel rewarding to me, which caused me to consider scrapping it altogether.
  • Second, people were too concerned with the milking machine variant that it left me quite... disappointed. The focus of the pic was neglected and variants were pretty much the main concern of the pic. It didn't feel good to say the least.
  • Third, I've gotten quite a lot of pressure from some people about certain things, and as an artist, I simply can not handle pressure; we are not robots who dispense art, variants and other stuff just like that. I love you guys and all, but some people have not realised that the person creating these contents are human beings.
  • Fourth, concerning the Katsumi x Makoto pic as well as the Tifa pic, yes, I've said this thrice now, I will be doing the former by this month. The reason why it wasnt posted earlier was due to unforeseeble events in my life, which is why they were delayed. The Rem & Ram and the Asuna & Suguha duo pics acted as compensations for it.
  • Fifth and final, I'm exclusively locking variants to three and keeping them exclusively locked for 10$ pledgers to suggest, it is extremely time consuming to make so many variants and with such a demand for different gags, it's quite hard to deliver them in time.

That's about it, sorry for the long post.

Thank you guys for your time, I should be able to finish the Ganyu pic by monday.

Keep yourself healthy and happy we can be patient and understanding and thank you very much for all the wonderful art you've given us

Emmy

its a shame that its gotten you down so much, I know there are many pledgers like me who arw mostly silent and happy with any content you put out. The vocal pledgers must feel really overwhelming.

Azurekiryu

Man that sounds frustrating. though it isn't much, I truly think you're one of the best kink artists I've seen and I genuinely appreciate all the hard work you put in your pieces .

Brandon Barger

I do apologise if I was one of the ones making you irritated on that pic. It wasn't my intention. I was more just confused about patreon's rules that would get you in trouble for doing it. I tend to ask a lot of questions when I'm confused about something.

T-Mo

your art output has been insane tbh, if you have to do less stuff to keep to your schedule then that’s totally fine your work is amazing. thanks for continuing to provide content for us. wishing the best for you! not just as an artist, but as a person. please don’t be afraid to take breaks if you’re feeling overwhelmed

Anonymous

Your health is more important than some selfish requests!!😅 you’re an amazing artist that delivers quickly but if you need time for yourself then go ahead and take your time! The end result will still be the amazing quality you put out!

Anonymous

Thank you for sharing. Both your thoughts and your passion for the art you do. Many times people forget how to act when interacting with others electronically. Art can never be forced/pressured it never comes out right no matter the medium. And there is nothing more demoralizing to an artist or human in general, then to be told to do something that is just not in the scope of being able to finish. Hopefully this will allow people to understand the demands your human life puts on your electronic life and that we should be damn happy to get what we do get from you.

Anonymous

It's important you go at your own pace and not burn yourself out. Not to mention your art is so much better than I could do

Anonymous

Not to sound dismissive, but keep in mind that those that are vocal are usually the minority. I, and I think I speak for many of us here, enjoy your work silently :)

Deviantmaster222

Always remember that you can slow down if you need to. Please don't push yourself too hard and always take a break if you need to. I've had a bad burnout of writing that's lasted for nearly three months now, so I understand where you're coming from. Your personal health comes first.

bagelbombed

I agree, those people are normally a minority- I just have a difficulty taking in certain responses after a long time of work :')

Toffe

Damn, that’s a lot. I hope it isn’t to straining on you. If you need to take a brake or something, you definitely should. I don’t wanna speak for everyone, but I’m sure some of us wouldn’t mind^^ And for the part with the milking variation for Asuna and Suguha, I think that if it’s something you wanna try to draw and such, that you should do it. There will be people who might not be into that, but you shouldn’t let others decide for you if it’s something you wanna do. I hope that the pressure you have minimizes and that it isn’t to tough on you. Hope I didn’t come off as rude and I hope you have a good weekend and a good year!

MeneerBombastic

In my opinion, the SAO pic is a great piece of art, regardless of the milking variant

Honestly I’ve subbed to quite a few patreons, and there are artists who put out work at your level of quality that take multitudes of times longer, and only have the one job (Their patreon) at that. This is the happiest I’ve been with a Patreon sub, and every time I clean up shop with my finances and look at my subscriptions on patreon, this one is always the one i know I’ll keep, the level of quantity and quality of the pieces is more than fine, the last thing I think any of us would want is for you to be unhappy with this or see it as a chore, not even mentioning burn out. You as a person come first and then the output here, I think everyone here (Well, all of us sane ones anyway) can dig that. 🤙

Anonymous

Im currently in the same position as you, but my ends Artwork and Retail work, trying to balance both as of late has been hell! but take your time, I have alot of my own followers yell at me health before wealth lol as you said were only human!

Goldengoron

I see a few comments saying that they silently enjoy your work, and I would just like too add on to that list of people.

Keith Carlson

Hey, you're amazing at art. Just make sure you still have fun with it or it just becomes another stressor instead of a stress reliever.

Anonymous

Wow a teacher at the same time! Thanks for your hard work! All your art is very much appreciated and enjoyable regardless of what it is :)

Anonymous

You’ve never failed to demonstrate such amazing quality in each and every piece you do. It’s understandably difficult juggling a job as a teacher with that of a prominent nsfw artist, tackling contrasting worlds with their fair share of trials along with large investments of strenuous work and time. I feel that I speak for most of us when I say we appreciate your admirable dedication and apologise for making you feel so stressed out to always please the nitpick requests. Your mental and physical wellbeing are in our best interest, so thank you for being so open with us.

Gregory Hardin

Thank you for posting this and sharing with us more about you (your background, your frustrations, and developments). I really appreciate every piece of art you put out - we can really feel the care and energy that you put into every piece (I'm seriously amazed that you have put up as many pieces as you have on a consistent basis). That third point really hits hard - it is really more important that you take care of yourself (physically and mentally) above all else; you should never feel pressured into doing something. If you need to slow down or take a breather, please do so; your hobby and passion should never feel laborious or unrewarding. Thank you for doing all that you do! :)

Request-based fan art as a business model is kind of dehumanizing for the artist. Couldn't imagine doing it myself.

Raven-rj

I understand completely and hope that you can make drawings that you feel great and rewarded about it. I came back as patreon for financial reasons and had to stop most of them but promising that march (maybe April) I can raise to the 10 us$. Best wishes, Bagel!

ZeroBeta

Sorry, I think I can count myself among them. I got carried away too much and will take better care of it in the future. It's hard to do one job, but you do two very well. I hope you get back in shape and stay healthy. Your art is fascinating and it's hard to look away. I will continue to support you more quietly.

Onion&Garlic

The way I see it, Patreon as a platform for artists is something that helps them find people that have similar interests. So naturally, if the number of your supporters grow larger and larger, the interests from your supporters might stray away from whatever you really like to do. And when that happens, it is perfectly ok to decline them if the requests are not within what you like to do. For example, if you don't feel comfortable or don't have time to draw some variants, it is perfectly fine. And I believe the majority of us can understand the situation. Every supporter you have will probably have something they want to see that is different. And obviously, you can't please all of them. I'll use myself as an example, I am a fan of experimenting with different restraining methods, which is why I suggest unorthodox rope works from time to time. If I ever sounded demanding, I apologize, that was never my intention. because regardless of whether you take the suggestion or not, I'm always happy with what you decide to draw in the end. There are rarely any other artists that produce high quality work this fast, and I think your fast-growing number of supporters also shows this. And to think you have a different job at the same time is just incredible. And yeah, if you ever decide to take breaks here and there due to the heavy workload, I think the majority of us will be able to understand. Musicians who only make music to please their fans are bad musicians. Artists too. Draw whatever you like, we will be here, because that's what fans are.

Chrissea1

Even though Im not a big fan of Asuna, I really liked that series. Seeing the variety of restraints and those dildo gags as always. You are definitely a quality source of great and creative bondage art

Jason Hong

Wait, you're a girl?! I never knew that! :o

Rize

don't stress yourself too much! i've been silently loving your art for super long now and recently decided to pledge at tier 10$ and its been very worth it. i can't imagine myself balancing being a teacher and doing all this art at the same time. we appreciate you and all of your hard work but everyone needs time to relax once in a while :)

GoldenHunter224

Decided to up my pledge to $10 because of this post; I know full well how hard things are right now, and how frustrating it can be when people don't appreciate your work. Truthfully, it's sad to hear about the reduction in variants, but if that's what you need to do, then do it. I'll be glad to support you. EDIT: Now that I think about it, I was probably contributing to the whole problem too. I'm sorry about that, if I was. I truly do appreciate the effort you put in to each of these, and I really want to see every new project you produce, even if I'm not familiar with the subjects.

JollyDave

I hope you ok, to the people who pressure u, they're arseholes. Please look after yourself and don't over do it. I honestly love your artwork and look forward to any amount of it <3

prawthnet

Hey I signed up because of the SAO pics and I'm really disappointed to hear people complained about a variant I guess I'll never see now. There are a lot of people that need to keep their opinions to themselves. If you listen to them, they'll just get worse. Best to ignore them as best you can.

Mechio

The more people you have, the more diffirent opinions you'll get, but its impossible to please them all. Just do what you love, thats the point of drawing, aint it? Also, a baltic fellow i see, nice!

Anonymous

It's sad to hear that you had such experience recently . Wishing you all the best . Tbh just ignore those jerks and take your time if you need . People should understand that rushing art or demanding too much can make it worse especially for artist . I love your art and I hope you can get as much fun from it as possible instead of being another stress factor . Again wishing you all the best :)

Anonymous

Honestly you are a great artist. Take time to enjoy life and take care of yourself. I look forward to seeing every one of your updates never really worried about the variants just loved to see the scenarios and the story created through your art. I hope that you can find happiness and joy in what you do. Take care of yourself!

Brian

Do what you need to do! I love your work, and I'll continue to support your choices in the future.

G

Take care of yourself Bagel! If you need to take time to collect yourself from time to time, it's perfectly understandable. :) (Also I apologize if I have gotten carried away with any of my suggestions and potentially caused stress for you.)

Anonymous

Just do you. Your art is fine as it is ^^

nightblack99999

Plese dont stress yourslef too much as a fellow artist i feel it is important to draw what you like to draw to stop your self from burning out too fast so just take your time to draw what you want

BRAZZERSDOTCOM

I understand just bout every issue you've raised bagel and honestly I really just hope you're doing okay with it all. Make sure to take a breath :)

Anonymous

It's amazing how you are able to juggle such high quality work and teaching! Please don't stress about it and do whatever you need to do, we'll support you no matter what!

Anonymous

Just to clarify-- at the 7 dollar tier, we can still see the variants, correct? We're just not eligible to suggest?

fluffychickens

Hey! I don't talk much on your page but I really appreciate all of the great art you put out. Thanks for all the hard work and sorry the experience has been a bit sour lately.

Lazy_traindriv3r

Really amazing work balancing both jobs and creating such fantastic content. It is a difficult time and I highly appreciate your effort in these artworks. Don't ever feel you are pressured into creating content that are not enjoyable to you. A big massive thanks !!!!

Alexander Cebulla

Take care of you, my friend. We will still be here.

TheMask237

I already thought highly of you for your art, but knowing how you're juggling your life outside it and you still somehow manage to make updates on Patreon as often as you do is just impressive. I'm sad that you've been feeling pressured by people, and I apologize if any comments I made in the past contributed to that (I know I was one of the folks who mentioned that he wasn't super interested in the milking machine alts for Asuna and Sugu). Even if you make an alt or draw a character that I'm not super into, your art is still always fantastic and I always want to support it. If you ever need a break, please, by all means take a break. We'll wait, and your art will be worth the wait. The most important thing is your health and that you still enjoy doing what you love to do. If it ever becomes a chore or if you start to resent it, then it might be a good idea to take a step back and breathe. After all, part of why we love your art is because you love making it! As for the variants, I personally think 3 variants is very reasonable. A lot of artists don't even make variants at all, so just 3 is still plenty. I just hope the $10 patrons are willing to suggest more than the same 3 gag options each time! Haha

Anonymous

You work at your own pace. I'm here because I like your art no matter how many varients and no matter how long it takes you to make it.

Anonymous

I love your work, don't let that stuff bother you! Just do what feels right

bagelbombed

Thank you all for your wonderful messages, I'm honestly so grateful for all the kind words, I was honestly feeling a bit miserable the other day, but getting so much support put such a huge smile on my face. I was initially a bit afraid to express myself, but I know now that I have a dedicated supporter base and I really wish to do my best for you guys to have the best experience on my Patreon. I am truly so happy, because it's because of you all that I keep doing my best to ensure that I develop and deliver new content! I'm going to take your guys' advice and make sure that I don't pressure myself and that I don't burn myself out. You all showed me that I'm dropping new stuff consistently. With such empathy, I feel reassured about what to do next and to make sure that I prioritize my health first. In fact, many of you increased your support pledges and I was honestly so surprised by how much you guys cared. Thank you all for taking your time to write your lovely messages to me, I feel so happy to know that I have such a lovely supporters <3

DatGingerCat

I'm no artist, but as a fan, I think your art is very good and in my opinion getting better and better. Furthermore, as someone who supports multiple artists, you deliver at an absolutely breakneck pace, so from my point of view, you're doing an absolutely fantastic job. Unfortunately, it's impossible to please everyone and sometimes, even if you deliver a perfect piece of art, it might simply impress less fans than another. But this is unavoidable, so as difficult as it is, try to not let it bother you too much. As wondrous as different tastes make the world, sometimes, they can also cause distress to creators. I'm a very happy to have a chance to support your work and I've bumped my pledge for this month a bit, as a tip, to show I really mean what I'm saying. Thank you for giving us a chance to experience your amazing work and more importantly, remember to do things your way and at your pace!

Jon Whitehead

You are a wonderful artist, and honestly I'm blown away that you can make such high quality art while maintaining two jobs. Talk about talent and dedication! I support you and your decisions. If you need more time, need to limit variants, need to change tier structures, I support every single thing. You need to set limits like anyone else. Also to anyone reading this do not put pressure on artists to cater to you. Having a conversation and voicing your opinion is fine, but making demands is a no go. Be excellent to other people, because artists are people as well. I wish us all happiness and health.

Hayter

You always put in good work, even when you can't always satisfy everyone's desires. So be proud of yourself and don't let it get you down, please. But I do have one question: will this $7 to $10 change take place immediately or start in February?

bagelbombed

Thank you very much <3 I'm trying my best, and you guys really changed my attitude Yeah, it takes effect immediately

Billyipod .

Hey lady , dont worry , we understand everything , and we love your content , just chill , and take it out when you have it ready, remember , better quality than cuantity, also for ur private life ;)

banjoe

Um... is there anyone who's asking for other tools? I think we'd better reduce the offer. I think it's a good idea to modify the ten-dollar tier only for suggestion.

Obibi

Please take care of yourself, love your content but health comes first... I've had 2 jobs once and I know it's a lot of pressure.

Anonymous

Perfectly understandable. Sorry if, in the past, the degree to which I've suggested things has come off as demanding. With an artist of your caliber, it's easy to get overly excited at the prospect of seeing your fantasy brought to life but you're absolutely right, there's always a human being behind the hentai art. The rate at which you're able to pump out A+ content, whilst catering to so many fans astounds me. That pressure would get to anyone, so by all means give yourself some slack! Health comes first. Thank you for your hard work this far and I, like all your other fans, look forward to your future works!
