My thoughts as I watched along since it was also my first time watching it - WTF 2 mins in and shit is already insane - Is that Wallmart Shirou? lmao -Shiki Tohno is the progtaonist of Tsukihime, yes there are two MC's in the Nasuverse name Shiki, not confusing at all -Wait is she a puppet? I thought she only had a puppet arm? -Cornelius Alba! He was the mage burning shit from the Kiritsuga Flashback in Fate/Zero -Oh so Araya was there during the events of movie 2? Since in that flashback those are clothes Shiki and Mikiya were wearing at the end -So Enjou is a puppet?! - Origin is the starting point that defines one's existence and directs one's actions throughout life. For example Kiritsugu's is Severing and Binding, Shirou's is Sword, and we just learned Shiki's is Nothingess/Void. The Root/Spiral of Origin/Akashic Record is the goal every mage is trying to reach, seems like Araya is trying to reach the route via the study of Origins. -Mikiya is Shiki-sexual lmao -Ok so the second half of this movies is what was happening with Mikiya during everything with Enjou -Oh shit, she mentioned Heroic Spirits and Counter Guardians -MY question now is, is the Aozaki we are seeing now real or is it another puppet? -Absolutely amazing movie, easy 10/10 best Garden of Sinners film so far

I knew I've heard SHIKI TOHNO somewhere!! Love seeing nasu make it confusing, I'm used to it now. This movie refers to a lot of interesting things from Fate which is amazing! And yes I guess Enjou was always a puppet since the beginning of the movie but he managed to escape that prison of an appartment building. Also, if the previous movies had stuff going on that took place before the Enjou incident, then yes we've definitely been seeing the puppet Aozaki. She claims that this is the "real" her and honestly I do believe her. I agree with you this was simply the best one we've seen so far 🙌

This movie is normally people's favorites. For me this movie is my second fav, my #1 is movie 7 ("A Study in Murder" or "Murder Speculation" Part 2).

CrypticBoss

So you're saying I could potentially have a new favorite 👀 CANT WAIT TO SEE IT!

Droop

maybe, it is quite different from Paradox Spiral

A couple things: - yeah it’s funny how in KnK Shiki Ryougi is the MC with death perception and is dating a sweet nice guy in glasses named Mikiya and in Tsukihime Shiki Tohno is the MC with death perception and is a sweet nice guy in glasses. Almost like Type Moon keeps the remixing the same good ideas with each of the successive series. Shouts out to the mushroom man himself - and what do you mean Walmart Shirou. Enjou is just an orange haired guy with a tragic backstory and dead biological parents who was really good at track and field sports in high school who believes fully in the “fake” desires that were given to him by someone else. Tell me one way how EnjOU and ShirOU are similar. - great catch on your part seeing that Araya was already capped by movie 2 which is well towards the end chronologically speaking of the events covered in the entire KnK timeline - and this is only something you’d know if you do reading outside of class, throughout the entire run of KnK Touko is already a puppet with her puppet system fully deployed. Every time the puppet body is killed, it triggers the next Touko puppet to start up. So as long as she has puppets in stock and she’s killed in a conventional way (like idk what would happen if Shiki cut the lines of the puppet), she’s functionally impossible to kill completely. It’s unclear if this makes her immortal or not, jury’s out on that. - this ties into the core of the convo between Cornelius and Touko when she returns. In terms of identity, is she Touko the mage moved into a new puppet body, or is she the puppet Touko that just has all the same abilities, memories, and personality as the mage Touko who “died” a long time ago? Touko doesn’t even know herself at this point! But since she would act the same way in either scenario, it doesn’t really matter.

Man I wish I could’ve been there for the stream this movie is so god damn good. Easily the best movie of the first five. I’ve seen this one a few times and there’s still shit I pick up for the first time on a rewatch. - right before Shiki pops out of the elevator to confront Araya there’s a quick flash to a scene of Shiki standing on a snowy road talking to someone. As the camera (we can assume Shiki’s perspective) zooms in to Shiki on the road, who looks up to the camera and smiles. That’s a scene from a movie we haven’t watched yet and all I’ll say is iykyk and LORE. - at the end when Enjou and Shiki are in the diner the entire setting is mirrored. While they’re seated in the background shots will cut to the foreground where the same guy is smoking a cigarette on opposite ends of the screen. As for what happens to Enjou based on what’s in that scene… it’s open to interpretation but I think this is just a dream-like parting of ways as Enjou moves on to the afterlife. - we’ve seen the cigarettes Touko smokes and gives to Mikiya before. It’s the same brand that Natalia (Kiritsugu’s mother figure) in Zero and Kairi Sisigou in Apocrypha smoke. - love that Touko tells Shiki not to take the Harley with the sidecar attached and that’s what she takes. What a troll And now on to movie 6, probably the most controversial of the KnK movies. Personally I like it a lot and tbh all the movies rounding out the series are strong

Oh shit it's the same cigarettes that's cool, nice little continuity threw line

The deeper you get into the nasuverse the more you’ll notice how all this shit connects. And that’s how the type moon / fate cult gets its hooks into you

OneTrueReason

Shiki Ryougi is the female protagonist of Kara no Kyoukai, Shiki Tohno is the MALE protagonist of TSUKIHIME, dude.

Oh I actually recorded this one off stream since I couldn't stream at all. But I totally agree with you like I was already thinking of rewatching this later bcuz there's layers to it
