Hello everyone!! Time for a little late(again) "status update" post.  While I was finishing the animation with Ada Wong, it turns out that I had a huge pile of cases that just fell out on me now. Now I'm trying to sort everything out :). So let's go straight to the small announcements.

Ada Wong Release for all WHEN?

Finally, I finished doing animation with Ada Wong. This is my first full-fledged animation in 60 FPS.  It was super exhausting(The part that included the render this animations). Although I made this animation faster in time than the animation with Aunt Cass. The render of this animation, as you could already understand, took an unrealistic amount of time for me. For almost 2 months, my computer puffed without a break. But the main thing is that the result was obtained and I brought it to the end and made an animation in 60 FPS. I will talk a little more about this below.

So when will the virus get to everyone? In about 24 hours, I will release it for all Patrons. After that, I will need to rest in the hospital for a couple of days :) Nothing serious, just a routine procedure.

About 60 FPS

I didn't think that changing the FPS for animation would bring so many changes to the animation process itself on blender. I will not list all the aspects(I talked about them in previous posts.), but the most important ones are the expected increase in the render time due to the fact that the number of frames that need to be rendered increases almost 2.5 times. And this is a lot. Will I continue to make animations at 60 FPS? I think that yes with a small but. But I will definitely no longer enter such a mode when I render animation day after day, it spoils sleep and turns my apartment into tropics, not to mention the computer. I still want to wait for full feedback about this( Regarding whether it is worth sacrificing 4k resolution for the sake of 60 fps animation or the fact that the render time is too long. Well, the most important thing is the visual sensations when viewing 60 FPS compared to my previous works in 24/30 fps).  I think if the animation with Ada Wong was around 7 minutes. I wouldn't have experienced such an intense run and finished the animation at the beginning of the month. Perhaps 7 minutes is a more appropriate time than 10+ minutes of animation. In general, I still need to polish a lot of animation elements that occur when working at 60 FPS.  And this is only possible in practice. BUT definitely not on the example of animations that last more than 10 minutes. Although who knows.. My passion for long animations is often stronger than common sense :)).

I will summarize the above. I like the result that is obtained when creating an animation in 60 FPS. But such animations will increase the time required to create an animation due to the long render. Well, about 4k. It will not work for all animations. I will try to test the models in different situations in advance to understand how much time I need to render 1 frame and roughly understand whether it will be possible to make an animation in 4k or not.

 So after the release, I will wait for your feedback about 60 FPS animations. ^^

Who next character?

I still have a couple of characters in my ideas and I'm trying to decide who it will be. Let's start with big mama Lady D.

The model has not received any updates... As I said before, I like the character's face, but everything else doesn't look so interesting. And also the model has small problems with the bones, but I think I could get around some of the problems myself. I think while I'm in the hospital, I'll do a couple more tests with her and decide finally whether I will take up this model or give more time for the appearance of another model.

I am also considering the option with Niko. 

For some reason now the idea of animation with her also got up in my head next to Lady D. Perhaps in a couple of days when I return, I will either make a vote between these two characters or just choose one of them and make an announcement of this event.

There were a couple more characters, but no specific topics for animation came to my mind for them, so for now I will limit myself to this pair.
