Hello everyone,

today I have some previews from Sara at the night bar for you.
As you can see, she's again wearing her sexy black/red dress.

I've also made a major upgrade to my rendering hardware. My rendering machine has gotten a brand new RTX 3080ti, which has been installed and tested today.
It took a couple of hours to get it all up and running with acceptable noise and heat.
But now it's good to go and I can happily announce, that render speed will be a little more than twice as fast now.

Take care,
Darkhound

What were you using before?

GordonShock

Wow, that's a nice toy! You say that it is twice as fast as your old card, which one did you use until now may I ask? Looking forward to seeing Sarah in action and flaunt her new feathers ;)

An RTX 3090 is better for rendering ... and faster ...

I bought this toy ... https://www.otto.de/p/hyrican-striker-1639-gaming-notebook-43-94-cm-17-3-zoll-intel-core-i7-geforce-rtx-3070-max-q-1000-gb-ssd-1384057813/#variationId=1384057814

A 2080super + 1070ti Now the 1070ti got replaced, so it's 3080ti + 2080s now.

Nope, it's not faster - the 3080ti is even a little faster and I don't need the 24GB ram. Even the 8 GB I had before were enough.

Bill Sherman

Very nice, on all fronts. :) I invested in a rendering rig with a 3080 recently and *wow* is it a step up for what I can do and how fast I can do it. Here's hoping your rendering gets even more amazing!

darkhound1

Thanks a lot, Bill :) I'll have to see where the new hardware takes me. Congratulations on your 3080. It's a great card too and I was torn between the 3080 and a ti. Since I liked the 12GB memory and the price was good too, I got the ti in the end. If you want to save some heat and reduce energy consumption, you can try runnig your card at 70% or even 65% power limit. The performance drop is minimal (<10%), but the reduction in heat and power consumption is huge.

I thought the third pic had gotten censored because it was too hot! :-(

So do you now have to strap yourself in so your not blown into the other room with all that speed lol. Nice upgrade Almighty Creator.

darkhound1

Thanks buddy. Yes - after several hours of fine tuning I'm happy with it now. It started out extremely power hungry, noisy and far too hot. I was about to send it back. 520 Watts just for the 2 GPUs was insane. I've managed to bring it down to 350 Watts (which is still a lot) with only a small drop in performance (<10% loss). So now it's pretty good. Fast and quiet enough.

JerseyBoy3100

Very nice upgrade. I don't want to think about what it cost you with todays GPU prices. I'll wait until things become more sane before I start on my next build. At the rate things are going, the RTX 5080 will be out by then.

darkhound1

I was waiting and waiting too. Instead of better, prices got worse. But since it's for the game, my main concerns were heat and noise and not so much the costs. Hard to concentrate if a vacuum cleaner or a small jet is right below your desk. They cannot continue to increase power levels for the next generation of cards. Something has to change.

Wolfhound

Nice. That must have cost a lot of company favor!

JerseyBoy3100

I've got a GTX 980ti and a GTX1050ti in an HP z620 with a pair of Xeon E5-2690 CPUs. Now all I have to do is learn how to use Poser and Daz 3D. I know its an old setup, but I have a lot to learn before I start building a more serious machine.

darkhound1

The 980ti is about the level of hardware I had about 18 months ago. It's a solid enough setup to start rendering.

Looking forward to seeing Sara but also hoping to see more of the DR and the cutie in the background (Yumiko).

VitAnyaNaked

Awesome! Glad that you updated the rendering hardware. Thanks for the teaser above. It looks cool!

darkhound1

Thank you. The good Doctor will get some love in the update after this one.

Your financial sacrifice is appreciated by us all.

Hot Girls, Hot GPUs, (^_^)

Mr. Phoenyxx

Wow! A 3080Ti!? Congrats! :D

Nice! Congrats on the new graphics card! I have the 3979 variant of that, yours is a bit more punchy.. ;)

darkhound1

I was torn between getting a 3070, 3080 or the 3080ti. In the end, a good offer and the 12GB ram lead to the 3080ti :)

No doubt gonna be useful when rendering us/me suckign Aly´s huge tits dry.. ;) They need some computer power behind them..

Evolver1980

when is the update coming?

nissebrygger

Done when it is done is exactly as it should be. Worked for years, will work today too.
