Holiday Island 0.2.1.1 beta has been released (Patreon)

Hi guys and gals,

the first bug fix and content update for 0.2.1.x beta has been released.

It includes all the fixes and new content from this post:

This is an update for the version 0.2.1.0 beta (PC, Mac, Linux only).
In case you are new to the game, you need to download one of the main game files version 0.2.1.0 beta (PC, Mac, Linux) from the links on my main patreon page:
https://www.patreon.com/darkhound1

Save games from 0.0.8 alpha and later versions should still be working. Older saves are no longer supported. Some saves might still not load. Sorry for that, but there is nothing I can do about it.

Please download the update to 0.2.1.1 beta (PC, Mac, Linux) from one of these links:

To apply the update, please extract all files from the zip archive to the folder where you installed the full game. Overwrite all files when asked.
For Mac users, please navigate to the folder structure:
HolidayIsland.app\Contents\Resources\autorun
Inside you find the folder named "game". Copy the content of zip file into the "autorun" folder from above.

EDIT: If you get a crash with:  'cl_character' object has no attribute 'event_seen', please download either the fix attached (functions.rpyc), or redownload the update to 0.2.1.1 and apply it again. The correct zip file has "_fixed2"  in the filename. If you have that one already, you are good. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Bug list and quick fixes attached:

  • Jessica's shower scene that doesn't end even though she catches you spying on her --> attached quick fix file "events_girls_room.rpyc" 
  • Eva's arrival scene repeats over and over when you walk to or from your room --> attached quick fix file "events_arrival.rpyc"

Hi Darkhound. I can´t get access to the Updates via the Links. On Mega it says that the Files don´t exist anymore and on Drive it´s also not working. Thanks for all your work. I really appreciate it.

Looks like an image is broken in your archive or a video driver problem of some sorts. Nothing I can do in the game to fix it. Since one specific image seems to be causing the problem, have you loaded other save files without problems? You can also upload your save file where you get the problem and send me the link, then I will have a look on my system.

I have reset my browser cache it is still not working. Mega is not sending me a password reset email and google drives say I do not have access even though I have always used them in the past.

Sorry for the late response, but I'm finding certain functions missing. I remember in previous versions being able to shower in the gym, but now I can't. Did I miss when this function was removed?

The gym shower was not removed. Nothing has been changed in that regard. There is a prerequisite for the icon to appear, which has been there before too. You need to learn about the shower, from Faye during her workout pullups scene when she makes a bet with you. or from faye during her weight lifting scene when she teases you and sends you a photo from the shower.
