Nah I think they need another similar serious type of anime like aot since they don’t like anime tropes yet. Vinland saga is a great one and it’s only like 24 episodes. Death note is good for them too

demon slayer is great if you are used to anime and the generic tropes don't bother you. idk i feel like zenitsu screaming would drive them crazy:DDD it drives ME crazy even though zeinitsu is my favourite in that show

I’ve read some where that in manga it’s mentioned that Nile’s wife Marie is someone Erwin had a crush on but he gave up due to his risky job. Just a little fun fact to understand their relationship I guess

I asked ChatGTP for some anime that doesn't have excessive self-dialogue and doesn't have random power-ups It's gonna be a bit of a long list but I think id agree. "Vinland Saga" - This historical fiction anime is a mature and intense story about Vikings, war, and politics. It follows the journey of a young warrior named Thorfinn who seeks revenge for the death of someone special to him and becomes embroiled in the political machinations of Viking leaders. (Personally Its a 9.5/10 very beautiful story I would recommend thinking about reacting to it eventually) "FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" - This anime is a dark and mature story about war, politics, and ethics. It follows the journey of two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, as they search for the Philosopher's Stone in order to restore their bodies after a failed alchemical experiment. "Psycho-Pass" - "Psycho-Pass" is a science fiction anime that takes place in a dystopian future where a system called the Sibyl System is used to measure a person's mental state and the likelihood of committing crimes. I have a theory that Erwin asked Nile where his home was so he could ensure that Nile would help with his plan. Nile told Erwin that his home is in Eastern Wall Rose and the fake wall breach was Wall Rose. This would ensure that Nile would put up some resistance if the government decided to stop the Rose residents from coming into Wall Sina. It could be a coincidence but I think not.
