VERTICILE

wtf right as i check you uploaded

Cannon Andrus

First scene will traumatize me for life.

Jake

Fuck yeauhhhh

McKay Carter

The north remembers

Kim555

I’ve been holding on to my food just in case and I got rewarded

leah

so excited for yall to start season four!!! GOAT SEASON OF TELEVISION 🗣️

Elias Tellman

Let’s goooooo🔥🔥🔥🔥

Mason Schutz

Oh no it’s THAT episode. LMFAO. I forgot this happens right after the red wedding. We were really going through it every week… 😭💀

Brian

That was a speedy recovery LOL

V

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yeshi Tenpa

yall quick with it

Melizé

LFG

jace’s lawyer

the red wedding is unfortunately a necessary must before you start s4 aka the best(!!!) season of the entire show and im not taking arguments

Apex

“Is Arya the most traumatised?” Theon: Exists

Chad-gon Targaryen

One of the most criticized shots in GOT history. The Dany “Mhysa” moment is one HBO/GOT/HOTD is still trying to remove the stain of.

Daenerys Targaryen

House Gek blessing us with back-to-back episodes. I bend the knee.

AlucardIV

So what did you have for lunch? I'm curious to know what one eats after watching the Red Wedding, especially a first timer.

A

I’m literally about to go into work 🥲

Erika Bade

Nah you gotta disrespect Walder Frey because he doesn’t do anything to earn it. He’s a sleazy piece of opportunist crap. He served bread and salt under his roof and destroyed his last bit of credibility. There’s a reason Cat’s father never respected him.

LuvStarburst

The boys thought their trauma was done in the last episode but got more right at the beginning lol

thank u next

I'm not used to the constant uploads. Feels Christmas. Thank u boys! 🔥

Kubek GAMEPLAY

Guys im with you the red wedding was tough, but what is more tough is how this show loses its writing quality later :( but i think you will still enjoy it quite a bit.

Tyler Sick

Who is worse Joffrey or Ramsey?

Liam Monahan

Fun fact rob doesn’t have a POV in the books you see his story through Catelyns POV

Jamz

all praise to the Gek gods for spoiling us 🙌

David S.

Can’t believe we’re onto season 4, thanks guys for all the uploads!

AlucardIV

Now that we're officially introduced to Ramsey Snow, let the "who's worse?" arguments begin! In one corner, we have Joffrey the sadistic little piece of shit that takes pleasure in killing puppies and in the other corner Ramsey, the psychotic nutjob who looks like someone who takes pleasure in hunting others and feeding them to puppies. Personally, I think Ramsay is worse. He's Joffrey but smarter and competent which is bad news for everyone around him.

Caraxes🐐DT

Not mad at Frey but pissed at Ygritte is crazy lol plus she didn’t kill him we know how good of a shot she is and osha not a fighter so a little different wit that comparison and she been with bran them longer living like them.

Ray

Guys Ygritte could have killed Jon right there. Remember when she killed the deer from afar? It was intentional, she let him Jon go. She shot him as in: "You broke my heart Crow!"

TheSauceGuy

As sadistic as Joffrey is, he's not completely unintelligent. He was correct that Tywin didn't contribute much to Robert's Rebellion. Twin only joined sides by sacking the city once it was made clear that the rebels were to win.

ssj4rit

Another fun fact, book Robb wasn’t dumb enough to bring his wife to the wedding so she’s still alive.

danidelight

The North Remembers 🐺 Ygritte shooting Jon was out of heartbreak and betrayal that he chose his "duty" over her. She knew what he always was, but maybe she had hoped he would have changed for her? Naive maybe. She shot him but intentionally did not shoot to kill, because she still loves him.

Darrell Henry

Let’s just say season 4 cooks even harder.

aryastark

Ygritte felt betrayed/abandoned by Jon and she shot him in non fatal locations to hurt him. Not sure why this was such a big deal.

Erika Bade

Davos is a legend. Such a great character. This episode: Gendry starts rowing.

Jessica

Seeing the intro without Richard and Michelle :((( they portrayed their characters to perfection, we could not have asked for better actors 🫶🏼

Divayth Fyr

Rook's freaking Rest.. never paid attention before.

Jessica

Also Arya being there when ned died, almost making it to her brother and mother but was too late and then seeing Robb with his wolfs head💔

TheSauceGuy

Bastards of nobility are named after the regions where their fathers/mothers reside or where the bastard is born. You have, "Snow" (North), "Sand" (Dorne), "Flowers" (Reach), "Hill" (Westerlands), "Stone" (Vale), "Storm"(Stormlands), "Rivers" (Riverlands), "Waters" (Crownlands), and "Pyke" (Iron Islands).

T.Yaseen

Well, the only positive thing i can take after that tragic ending is my favourite character Arya is still alive,i need her to come in clutch season 4-5 and take revange for her family,(no spoilers pls lmao)

Ruby Cardozo

Joffrey is sadistic but he also cares about glory/being respected, and is also a major coward, so he’s not killing all the time. However, If Ramsey was king, he’d be doing the most sadistic violent stuff all the time because he only gets pleasure in torture and he barely has any fear. He doesn’t care about being looked on favorably which is more dangerous and worse IMO

Seth Aasland

it’s true that robb made the ultimate mistake with marrying someone else when he pledged to marry waldur frey’s daughter, but house frey’s method of getting back at house stark was disgusting and horrible. plus them sewing greywind’s head onto robb’s body afterwards was disrespectful, at the VERY least

Erika Bade

Ygritte warned Jon not to leave her. She didn’t care about his loyalty to the Wildlings, it was her. She even helped him and defended him against her people. Then he left. The one thing she asked him not to do. She said she’d cut his balls off, instead she “missed” his heart multiple times although an amazing shot.

✨jay✨

Love Carter for the Ygritte defense. So many people get pissed off when she shoots Jon but I love that scene. Rose Leslie’s performance makes me tear up every time. You can tell how hurt she is. Also I just love their scenes knowing they were falling in love irl while filming.

kyle

daenerys' music/themes are beyond peak

Jada

Yup season 4 will always be known as the best season some of my favorite characters died and truly if we are being honest that's when the show died the dialogue just wasn't the same after season 4

bateman bookworm

yeah if anything jon is the one who was unchanged by love. He could have left with her if he was so in love but he chose to go back home and left her. If she didn’t catch up with him just now he would’ve never seen her again, bc he left. I think If jon had taken ygritte she would’ve run away with him. Both of their sides are understandable with respect to their characters. Jon wouldn’t shoot ygritte as she’s turning around to leave, but ygritte is not honorable nor a memeber of westerosi society and she never was so i’m glad they didn’t change that

JJ

cannon just needs to understand that Ygritte was a heartbroken wildling women. We know how women are when you break their heart. They will do you dirty in many ways, including put their hands on you. Thats her version of that. Also, and the most important part, she could have easily killed him with one arrow. She purposely let him live. Shes an excellent archer

Jada

I cannot wait for season 4 one of the best seasons known to mankind. From beginning to end it's a banger. Not one weak/filler episode this season just straight heat.

bateman bookworm

yeah the show could have done a better job of showing how disrespectful the red wedding was in regards to hosting a guest under your roof. They tried with the rat story but if the “break bread” and “salt” custom was explained earlier it would have been more impactful. Frey has lost all credibility and tywin proves once again how he has no honor

Mahti

Cannon really didn't like Ygritte shooting arrows at Jon 😂

Branflakes

S4 is the best in my opinion, excited to see you guys experience it.

bateman bookworm

Listen, shae does get on my nerves, but I kind of get her perspective. With all of the “love” stories in this show, it shows how no one really ever chooses love. Ned could have stayed with Cat like she begged him too, jon could have run away with ygritte, and tyrion could have left westeros to be with shae. It’s not like any of them are “stuck”. But they repeatedly choose duty over love and that is a westerosi value. Shae is not from here, she does not care about being highborn or your last name. If tyrion really loved her like he always says he does, he would have left with his money and had a great life in the east. But he didn’t, he chose to stay, got married to someone else while his lover empties her shit bucket. So many of their conflicts are just differences in culture

Ana

Them doing Robb's body like that pisses me off so much. I hate the freys

Chad-gon Targaryen

nah bruh Shae is annoying Tyrion is a much more enjoyable character when he’s interacting with literally anyone else in King’s Landing

Ana

Definitely Ramsey. He gives me the super ick

bateman bookworm

joffrey is a coward, ramsey is not😭i don’t even want to think about what would happen if ramsey was in joffreys position

bateman bookworm

well obviously, he’s a great character to have around. and i don’t really care for shae. but if we are going to talk about love, then in this particular instance i understand shae completely.

Joel

I think it makes sense that Ygritte shoots John there. He lied to her, he betrayed her trust. It's a crime of passion, they're common even in our world.

rian

I forgot they did that to robbs body 😭😭😂

Jigga Man

Joffery at least ends your suffering fairly quickly. Ramsey is just naturally sadistic and his brain just doesn't emphasize with anything. Joffery has more empathy than Ramsey, imagine Ramsey having the powers of a king. That would be the end of everyone in the capital.

Origin

letsss goooo we on season 4 now!!!! , the best season in my opinion.

Chad-gon Targaryen

idk I really never got hooked on Shae The actress isn’t that good and it’s not really believable that Tyrion would fall head over heels for her. Makes it hard to see things from her perspective.

LeFlaneur

Ramsey = competent Joffrey, is a good definition.

Jigga Man

"He went out undefeated and he still died." Is really the entire curse of the Starks. Rob was too perfect for GOT. Just like his father.

Origin

Ramsay makes Joffrey look like an angel, poor theon man.

jblakk

Cannon and Brig need Pedro stat!

Joel

I agree with the saving Theon plot being a bit random. It's not in the books, which is quite telling. Most of the book to show changes are random/bad imo. There will be more of them starting around season 5 and it just ramps up from there. The resulting drop in plot-quality is quite apparent. But it's still really enjoyable, and most of the plotlines remain high quality for a while imo. Season 4 is goated though, I can't wait for your reactions!

GBuckets

that scene with the wolf's head attached to Robbs body pissed me off so much back then. That's the most disrespectful thing you can do to somebody.

Jacob Goldsmith

full episode and no pedro drop shame

Chad-gon Targaryen

Rhaenys really could have used that lesson from Tywin

Jessica

The greatest 10 episodes of television awaits I cannot wait for season 4!! It’s gonna be epic

AlucardIV

I never noticed how imbalanced this show is. You get a massacre, Grey Wind's head on Robb's body paraded and ridiculed, more of Ramsey's little shop of horror, another reminder that Tywin is worse than an anime dad, heartbreak for Ygritte, other kind of heartbreak for Arya and Sansa and what do you get that is wholesome? Hodor yelling in a well and laughing when his voices echoes back (ngl almost worth all the bad stuff) and Davos learning how to read only to discover that the English language makes no sense. If he's frustrated over "night", wait until he learns "knight".

bateman bookworm

yeah i agree im not hooked on her character either. But tyrion declares his love for her like every episode yet has nothing to show for it. He brought her to kings landing and basically told her to stay hidden so he can “play the game” and also have her as well. I too would be pissed if I had to dump my lovers wife’s shit out of her pot😭

TheSauceGuy

Carter is saying that her shooting him is UNDERSTANDABLE, not that she should have done it and that it was just. Keep in mind that the wildlings that climbed the wall are on a mission to save their people and Jon appears directly in opposition to it if he returns to the Night's Watch. As Jon said, Orell was "right the whole time" lol. It's unfortunate for both sides that they still have such a heavy distrust for each other at a time when they really can't afford to.

✨jay✨

Also I’m not sure if you’ve already filmed the first episodes of season 4, but I would love to hear in an intro who each geks favorite house/region is. If you were in this world which kingdom/family would you want to be born into. Who you swearing fealty to. It’s not as divided as house green & house black but every game of thrones fan has a favorite family and they usually feel pretty strongly about their loyalties haha. Would be interesting to see if/how your allegiances change over the seasons.

Origin

i get what cannon and brig were saying about ygritte but she is a wilding and she did warn jon and said “if you ever betray me i’ll cut your…”so it wasn’t really shocking and if she really wanted to, she could’ve killed him but in that moment she just wanted to hurt him.

TheSauceGuy

Ramsay is a sadistic psychopath and I'd say he's far worse than Joffrey lol. I like to think that Bolton was once more similar to Ramsay and just grew old of meaningless torture/violence when it didn't really serve him. Bolton simply chose to take the opportunity to grab power when it was given to him. He probably would've stayed loyal to Robb had he not lost the Karstarks and angered the Freys.

Cannon Andrus

Can’t love her more than his hometown 🤷🏻‍♂️ me and Jon are fans of morgan wallen 😂

✨jay✨

Haha fair. He made his choice And she made hers. 🏹🏹🏹

chaosisaladdahh

if she wanted to kill him, she would've killed him. she wanted to hurt him, so she only hurt him

Chad-gon Targaryen

Better than being passed tent to tent by squires and lowly knights every day which was her job before Tyrion

Shadow

Man season 3 is so good. Cant wait for 4🙏🏻

Shadow

One of the most rememberable scenes for me. Just a gut blow lol

Marcusinmilw

Yeah, the amount of contention in the post-show discussion seemed a bit disproportionate.

Vally

If Ygritte would’ve wanted to kill Jon she would’ve done it. But she couldn’t because she loves him.

Sherry Porritt

what do you mean gap to marinade?

Marcusinmilw

100%. In my comment on episode 9 I said I was so pissed that I stopped my binge marathon for 2 or 3 weeks. When I finally calmed down and decided to continue, that's the first scene I got. I remember dropping several expletives and yelling "The f**king disrespect NEVER stops!!" It still makes my blood boil.

AlucardIV

Yeah, same here. I just remember back in S1 when Joffrey was THE most hated character and I don't think any other character reached that level of hate or maybe our hate had to be split in more ways as the show went on.

S

Season 4 is peak

Marcusinmilw

In terms of being a sadistic psychopath, Ramsey, without question. That said, as much as I detest him, he has never had me shaking with rage. Joffrey has on more than one occasion.

Chris Sanford

It doesn't matter that Jon got shot, but something ya'll either missed or that I just wasn't listening from you guys is that Ygritte purposely didn't kill Jon. She meant to miss any vitals when she could have easily. The main point of their relationship is that as much as they love each other, neither of them can really change who they are even as much as they may have wanted to or say they could.

Marcusinmilw

There is no argument to be made. Season 4 is THE BEST season of the entire series. Period.

Chris Sanford

I guess that's my Brig HotD "if I was a betting man i'd say they'll address it in a later episode" type moment then lol.

Rach Ley

*was 😂

Brig Andrus

The hindsight merchants are lurking in this comment section 👀

bateman bookworm

Hahaha yep that’s fair as well, none of them were willing to change for different reasons.

Goat

Would be great if you guys again discussed your favorite and least favorite character (just one) at the beginning of season 4

Chris Sanford

The real question is, what did ya'll have for lunch in between episodes 9 and 10?? 👀

tp

Tywin's so fake 😭 better to kill a dozen at dinner except you also ambush and slaughter the army outside, so now you've killed ten thousand men without giving them a chance

bondbond53

what are you guys cooking on Ygritte if that was my mans he would've not only been shot but also dead already. What are you guys on

Dakota

Ygritte coulda killed Jon, lets be real, we've seen her shoot that bow before. The first shot would have gone right through his heart from behind if she had wanted. But she loves him. She shot him because she's pissed as hell that he's betraying her after saying that he never would. She just wanted to cause him some pain too. Also, Cannon, you say the good guys haven't gotten any dubs and thats just not true. robb hadn't lost a single battle yet in the war, and was named the King of the North. That's a huge W. He also met the love of his life and got married to her and was gonna have a baby. Now, of course, eventually that turned poorly, but there were still dubs before that.

lily

great video guys 🫶 what food did you guys get after the red wedding because i remember getting ice cream to try cure the sadness 😭

Mia Malvik

If ur wifey doesn't shoot you with arrows when you betray and leave her then she's not a true wifey

Ladnon

Is that the same mic from the last ep?

Anna

It was foreshadowed in the scene with the deer earlier in season 3 though, if she can hit her target with one arrow and from the low ground and far away then she could’ve def killed Jon if she wanted to. It was super rude to pepper him with arrows obviously but she wasn’t trying to kill him lol

mjenkinsify

lol right. I was like this topic doesn’t need that much discussion lol

Dani

Season 6 is super close tho. I'll never forget the first time I watched that finale. Best episode of any show I've watched.

Mysterious Figure

I guess this shows Cannon has never been really in love. Not the real deal. Because if you had, you would understand perfectly why Ygritte shot those three arrows and you would have done so too. She was trying to make him stop leaving her as well as showing him how much he is hurting her at the same time, while showing him she in fact loves him because she DIDNT kill him... and all of that is shown in those three shots Cannon. And Jon understood perfectly too. He just didn't love her more than his other priorities. That's why he got what he deserved since he told her otherwise.

Him Mori

Y’all don’t know she’s elite w the bow, would’ve killed him if she wanted… you’ll find out soon tho

Paris

I thought CG was supposed to uploaded 2 days ago it’s cooked 😭

Brady

Cersei: "........" Cannon: "Shut the frick up Cersei"

✨jay✨

Ehhhh I don’t know if that’s a fair assumption to make about Cannon here😭. love is a very complex emotion and we all feel it differently. I think it’s clear he thought she was shooting to kill. Once the show gives more context I think it’s easier to understand the situation and love between them.

G

Code geass 😫

ssj4rit

3 seasons in and no sight of Pedro, this is tragic.

Mitch

Nope, you just need to pay more attention next time buddy!

Nonos

Didn’t think I could hate someone more than Joffrey lol until I did

Kite

excited for y'all to watch my favorite scene next season 😈

Tina L

Despite how depressing episode 9 was the sight of Grey Wind's head on Robb's body makes me so ill I HAVE to skip it every time.

ssj4rit

There is an episode in s5 where you can tell the show fully diverges from the books and that’s when the downhill trend starts. Even IMDB reflects it, it’s the first below 8/10 episode of GoT (and not the last).

Rigny la Belle

Don’t worry season 4 will make you feel better immediately

Nepenthe

I 100% agree with you Cannon. Cersei is pure evil, she's not just some victim of circumstance. She takes pleasure in cruelty. I roll my eyes every time the show tries to manipulate us to feel compassionate for her. Her comment about her children is especially ridiculous. Her loving and protecting her children has no correlation with her venomous and aggressive nature, and if anything, is actually leading to her children being in more danger because of her growing list of enemies. Think of how ridiculous her comments are to Margery in past episodes which are based purely on her pride, jealousy, and obsession with power and control. Her quality of life is also insanely high in comparison to other men and women in this world, the victim complex goes crazy.

Nepenthe

Idk if I'd define any of those things as Ws man. His goal wasn't to be King of North nor was it to find a good wife. His goal was to save his sisters and avenge his father. When Cannon is referring to no good people getting Ws I think he's clearly referencing the overall goals of each character not micro-instances of wins.

Kare

Cersei is one of the most complex characters on the show it’s a shame you trivialize her entire character to “pure evil”. If there’s one thing that anyone who watched this show can agree on is that she does in fact love her children and if you can’t see something as simple as that then idk what to tell you 🤷‍♀️

Nepenthe

1. Ok explain so far how she's been presented as "one of the most complex characters in the show." 2. Where did I say she doesn't love her children?

Shay Kumar

Lots of people love their children. Love doesn't stop people from killing each other lol.

Mike Lew

Season 4 is the goat

Zipzzty

Next season is going to be peak can’t wait

Nepenthe

Exactly what I'm thinking. Loving your children and wanting to protect them doesn't excuse crazy evil behaviour. People are somehow fooling themselves into believing there aren't any alternatives and that her outbursts are somehow justified or even productive to her own goals.

JJ

nah this isnt a matter of hindsight, yall just missed how good she is at archery. but I would say in a show like this, its extremely common to not catch everything. you guys are actually the best at figuring things out and following along on a first watch. 90% of other reactors miss way more than you guys do

JJ

and then rip their heart out again lul

Jed

What I think is CRAZY is how many times yall said CRAZY in the last 10 minutes😂

Brig Andrus

They literally mention in the next episode that she missed on purpose. Until then it’s all up for speculation. Idc if she hit a deer 🤣

jace Z

Season 6 is absolute peak for me I can't wait for that

Marcusinmilw

@Dani ITA. While I don’t love all of season 6, episode 10 is probably my favorite episode of the entire 8 season run. So much happened and I was so exhausted at the end of the episode I about had to take a nap. 😂

Bellaa

its funny that anything negative said towards the main girl characters people freak out in the comments. ive seen it with Sansa a lot too, ppl feel the need to justify certain characters actions to try and sway the boy’s opinion or perception of what they watched. i liked the choice to have ygritte shoot him nonfatally, but its okay for people to not like it. its not that deep 😂

Bellaa

you sound miserable😂 ur first two sentences irked me so bad. u dont know him at all shut up💀

Nat Brojeni

Sorry guys I agree with Carter. Also if she wanted to kill him she would've. She just tried to make him hurt basically. Like he hurt her. Osha and her are two different stories.

✨jay✨

Hmm.. yeah you’re right I do not know him obv. I was only trying to say that’s a wild assumption to make about someone based on how they react to a single scene in a television show without knowing them. Sorry for causing the irk. Unintentional.

Bellaa

sorry girl my comment was directed at the one before urs🙀sometimes it doesnt let me reply to the person im trying to comment at

Bellaa

i actually liked what u had to say, “mysterious figure” is just very negative and a little too harsh towards cannon for no reason other than clearly being a big fan of ygritte

✨jay✨

Aw man ok I see haha. Im fairly new to the Patreon comment section and just saw “replied to your comment” notification 🥲 my bad lol. 💕

Kevin Harrington

People are too beholden to their opinions and when others don’t agree they take it as a personal attack and HAVE to change your mind. Super annoying

Kevin Harrington

The Theon call on canons board is so funny lmao

Bellaa

lol thankfully there are people to help back you guys up in the comments. or just some of us who can understand people have different perspectives and opinions on everything. appreciate every reaction u guys put out💓

CHIEF

I was gonna say it earlier but it was getting too close to the Red Wedding for it to not be a spoiler, but it really shouldn't be: The thing about this show has always been, and people would point this out WAY before this point while the show was airing, that people suffer the consequences of their actions. It's what all of these early seasons built so perfectly; character after character you may think is making a noble decision or the "right" one, but the consequences of it given the world presented always made sense and would keep people engaged because every scene, every line of dialog, could have dire consequences, or maybe even not. Sometimes things happen you think will be disastrous down the line, but given their context, the characters are able to move on, be forgiven, or rectified unexpectedly. It can be hard to bring this up without seeming like alluding to something but it could be said at almost ANY point in the show, it's just the way it's written and why it's truly one of the all-time greats.

Kevin Harrington

Calling Joffrey competent is madness to me no offense to you of course. But Joffrey is a child through and through and I couldn’t hate him more if I tried. 0 redeemable qualities whatsoever

Kevin Harrington

I feel like everyone forgets it’s the majority of their first time watching unlike most of the audience. I recently finished my second watch of GoT so watching with the Geks is my third time and seeing it from that perspective is leagues different from how they’re seeing it now

andrés

Re: the wilding Convo at the end. I think it's diff for Osha because she also spent a while in winterfell after she was captured so her change is more understandable. Like she even said last episode "your family took me in and showed me mercy when they didn't have to". Still wild to shoot Jon, but understandble as a heat of the moment sort of action since Jon had *just* betrayed her and was again abandoning her after having sworn to stay by her side.

Vanessa Sanchez

OMG… Carter, I feel your pain!!! Literally felt the same way!! But what’s worse on my part is, I had to wait an entire week to watch the last episode of season 3. And then an entire year to start season 4. It’s crazy how everyone now gets to binge watch it…. If feels like there was so much I missed watching it in real time when I did. But it’s fun rewatching it with you guys!!

Reeker

my fandom origin story

BigManSirob

Did u guys say when the wedding was? I'm having Code Geass withdrawals 🫨

Sweede TW

The depression arc is too real

MagicSquirrel

You should state my previous message as a desclaimer before reaction vids guys.. "Our reactions are our own. please don't try to shape our reactions like yours would be.. it's not the point". This is becoming annoying from community. urgh..

Brittany Mitchell

Can we get more predictions before you start season 4?

milfnyra mai

“keep one alive torture him” LMAOOO CARTER 😭

Ash

Yiggrite did tell Jon not to betray her and then he went and "betrayed" her by choosing to go back home.

Ana

Facts. That's why I say season 2 is so important. It's the set up

Brady

Tbf to the hindsight merchants as a first time watcher I thought it was obvious, but more-so because I didn’t think it made sense for her to want to kill him

Ana

Faaaacts. Every excuse is Cersei loves her children ok and? She's a terrible mother. She only focus on one and she made him into a monster. But yeah Cersei loves her kids so that excuses her evil

Ana

Great reaction only thing I have to say for the end of this season is I hate Ramsey I hate the Freys I hate Cersei I hate Joffrey Poor Sansa and Arya. Season 3 is a very hard watch. Good but it took my second fav stark and greywind from me 😩😩 Can't wait for season 4 I understand all 3 of you guys Yes we can understand she was mad and felt betrayed And yes we can agree that she shouldn't of shot him. Like please don't shoot me cuz you mad lol. Things were crazy his eyes were messed up. It was chaotic. She should of yelled wait for me 😂😩

Ana

Carter you are right. Cersei is always open with Tyrion. She's so dumb she can actually have him on her side. But she's a big B word so she just ruins the relationship with him.

izzy

i will never win the "watch the mhysa scene with crying" challenge

PS

Canon better not bring home a Wildling 🤣️. When it goes sour Carter will be there to say 'what did you expect they are a Wildling'.

PS

It's good you guys are several episodes ahead, people post inadvertent spoilers in here forgetting it comes up in few episodes later.

Hannah

Arya was always a badass but seeing Robb’s mutilated body and them parading him around with Grey Winds head and then having to hear what they did to her mothers body was the turning point of her becoming a pure savage

izzy

oh for sure. someone can be an interesting, complex, and very well-written character while simultaneously being a terrible person that's extremely unlikeable to most. she's a cruel narcissist and in the books she doesn't even love her children lmao just sees them (as well as everything else around her as a tool and means to manipulate or conquer). that being said, cruel unfair things have happened to her. very good things have happened for her as well. every character, just like every person in the world, has real reasons for how they act. you can understand someone's pain and origin without excusing their actions because of it. basically "just because shitty things have happened to you doesn't give you the right to treat people like shit." i love the nuance of the characters in this show because you can find people with vastly different opinions on them depending on how they judge them and choose to individually draw the line. and there's no objective right answer. none of the characters are meant to just be flat all-around appealing GOAT fan service --- kind of like how we saw with the boys' mixed reactions to ygritte. morally, she as a person shouldn't have shot jon (imo), but writing-wise i think she should have - it was a poetic moment that made sense for her character and was symbolic of the overall themes of the overlapping lines between love, death, hate, and loyalty. "love is the death of duty". one could argue she chose duty over love by shooting him, or the opposite because she let him live. i love this story and all of the repetitive themes that we see throughout it, and how different people perceive them based on their own morals and experiences.

Alex

30 seconds in right now and I dont think ive ever seen a colder take from cannon… What is more powerful in this world than love? If there was anything worth breaking a vow for it’s that. Truly a testament to the starks character. Everyone makes mistakes, but for hundreds to be slaughtered after you break bread… Since the red wedding the only thing that kept me watching was the hope of seeing walder get killed 😔

Ana

@Izzy loved your whole comment. Like it's crazy I hate Cersei in GoT But in HoTD I miss her and wish Rhaenerya had a little bit of Cersei in her at times lol Cuz they just disrespect Rhaenerya like she isn't the heir and Rhaenerya just takes it. While I watch it I'm sitting here like Cersei wouldn't stand for this. I don't care for Cersei but I can also respect her for standing on business

ro anna

I thought it was clear that Ygritte didn't want to kill Jon. she let him get away because she still loved him

Paul Durbin

If you thought season 3 cooked...

1999

Mhysa Al Gaib

Darren Pangan

agreed. also since they haven't known each other long, ygrites anger towards jon for leaving her probably is more powerful than her love at that moment ao she wanted to hurt him.

Brig Andrus

She didn’t cut off his balls like she promised she would 1000000 times

ZappyZ

She didnt catch him lol she would have made that necklace for sure

Cannon Andrus

I love how Ygritte missing Jon is explicitly mentioned episodes from now, and because she hit a deer we should assume she’s trying to kill the man she loves while he’s jumping on a horse galloping away 😂

Caleb

prepare yourselves for arguably the greatest single season of any show ever, got season 4, Peak

lelouch top 2 not 2 (brog)

bro cannon has me dying telling cersei to shut up frame 1 of her being on screen lmaoooo before she even speaks

aryastark

Just about none of the ‘main’ characters in GOT are pure evil. (Walder Frey kind of, Ramsay definitely) However to say that about Cersei is to flatten the character and disregard all intricacies. I imagine it must be such a dull watch when you polarize the characters like that. Kare’s response is 100% correct.

aryastark

It was obvious. They didn’t need to mention it but hey if that helped you understand that’s great.

Caraxes🐐DT

I mean yea lol we seen how good of a shot she is before everything I mean I don’t think it’s crazy at all to think she didn’t try to kill him just hurt him but I seen others think she tried to kill him so guess I can’t blame you it’s just not being mad at walder for killing robb them but yelling f her so quick was wild…I don’t get how a savage fighter shooting arrows at a lover that betrayed her is crazy idk she was literally ready to fight and kill her group for Jon then he just tried to up and leave her not once but twice? Lol you still the goat tho and I get you love Jon so it’s understandable just crazy to hear it like that imo 🤣

aryastark

I was thinking the same thing. It’s the little things like this that reveal so much about a person.

aryastark

The way I didn’t even consider this, that makes it even worse. 🙃🤣

Caraxes🐐DT

I just knew when he said that he would be mad at Ygritte when it happened lol I was just waiting and yea that’s wild af but I’m disappointed in my boy 🤣

Caraxes🐐DT

Just because they mention it next episode don’t mean we can’t see the hints before it lol you not caring about the deer is just ignoring it….you know what square up brig im tired of the disrespect 🤣

Caraxes🐐DT

I mean when you start the vid off saying you not mad at walder but definitely mad at her it looks beyond crazy lol

Ayaulym🇰🇿

"Come on, keep one alive. Torture them" never expected to hear that from Carter lmao but I still couldn't agree more

Chad-gon Targaryen

Idk I think honor, duty, and family are more important than “love” or whatever spin you want to put on show Robb’s hedonism.

Chad-gon Targaryen

Screw Ygritte. If you truly loved someone you would never shoot them THREE times with arrows. Jon had nearly fainted from pain and blood loss by the time he got to Castle Black. He could have easily fell off his horse a mile out and been left to bleed out on the side of the road. Ygritte had no way of guaranteeing he would survive his wounds.

Hechy

Code Geass fans starving currently

Mysterious Figure

@Ramsey Where do you think family comes from if not "love"? After your family members start dropping like flies left and right the only way to have a family after that is to create your own. Love kinda matters if you want to have a family of your own Id say. Calling that hedonism is a bit immature, unless you want to say Robb's love for Talisa was immature, but that's another discussion altogether.

Mysterious Figure

@Bella I wasn't being negative at all. Just my observation. You must "know" him so well then to be able to tell me how wrong I am LMAO and for defending him so hard there must be some feelings there for you haha. Kinda easy to read between those lines. The way you responded to my comment is in fact pretty rude, and what I wrote didn't provoke or deserve that. It's your obvious feelings for him that made you react that way to it. And for the record, I don't really like or dislike Ygritte especially either way. To be honest I like Jon more even tho he is an idiot sometimes. But I like the scene that happened between them because it was written realistically since it shows what happens when you betray someone you say you love, and it shows how a betrayed passionate person would react. It is realistic and would happen the same way even if she wasnt a wildling. She is a passionate woman who's love was betrayed.

Roan Gomez

Cannon's "I forgot Carter's a wildling... I forgot" got me laughing so hard. There was so much passion in that discussion.Reminds me of those days when people had to wait a year for the next season and fan theories have gotten out-of-control.

Andrew Lynch

Y’all are killing it with the upload boys

Jack

Both perspectives on Jon and Ygritte are right. But here’s some important details not mentioned. Jon did what he had to do to survive, so yeah he betrayed the wildlings in a way but how can you blame him? He’s true to his vows and a nights watch through and through and he’s not trying to die young. Also, there’s no way Jon could’ve brought Ygritte back to the Nights Watch. They don’t have woman there, she’s a wildling, she wouldn’t fit in with her rebellious personality and they wouldn’t allow them to just be a couple at the nights watch as you are supposed to leave that behind. So Jon just had to do what he had to do to survive. Ygritte acted within character for sure, but I understand people being upset about her shooting their boy Jon Snow considering what all the Starks we lost in the Red Wedding. They already established Ygritte is deadly accurate from a very long distance with that bow, and she was in close distance and shot Jon 3 times in places where he was still able to make it to the Nights Watch alive when she could’ve shot him in the head or heart.

Gavin Sabathier

Completely agree with Carter on Ygritte

JaJa

I read your comment thinking....when did I post this? Because my name is Jada too 🤣

#JusticeForBrig

A really important note on the Jon/Ygritte discourse: In the cave, Jon immediately hit the deck and got down and dirty in the trenches. He did “that thing you do wif your toong jun snuuuuh” before they even jumped in the pool. And this is a world with no running water. This is a world where there’s no telling how many weeks or months it’s been since the last time they cleaned. Regarding the incident hereto known as “Cave Explorer,” I need the record to reflect that “you know it smelled crazy in there.”

Cagnazzo

Robb's downfall was executing the leader of the Karstarks. Upon rewatching it he specifically puts a curse on him right before he's about to be beheaded. Then when the Karstarks abandon Robb he needs to head to the Twins to get Walder Frey's men to replace them. If he had listened to his mother they would have went straight to Casterly Rock, taken the Lannister's home, and likely won the war.

Kelly

Remember what Maester Aemond says: “Love is the death of duty.” Rob’s duty was to marry the daughter of Walder Frey and he broke his oath. He chose love over his duty and he died for it. Jon has to make this choice too. His duty is to the Night’s Watch and he falls in love with Ygritte.

Diana ⛓️

If Ygritte wanted to kill Jon she would have with the first arrow, she is hurt that he didn't chose her and thats why she shoots him, to show him that she's upset but also doesn't kill him cus she loves him.

CHIEF

Yeah I'm getting weirdly irritated by Ygritte on this watch-through, maybe it's the not waiting weekly for new eps it feels more rushed and... toxic?

Chad-gon Targaryen

It was always rushed. Turning it from anything more than a situationship was a mistake. But the show definetly leaned heavy into the romance as much as they could to expand the audience.

Fatipapi

💀💀💀💀 could’ve kept this shit in your head bro

Fatipapi

Yall should save all your predictions, you know… just in case 👀

Fatipapi

Except the ones that are definitely not possible anymore because of a death or whatever

kivu_king

woke people are gonna be cringe no matter what, it was peak

Arjan Rijvers

I think you guys will like season 4 a lot

chaosisaladdahh

Pedro pedro pedro pedro pedro pedro pedro pedro

NoneOfYourBeeswax

The red dragon is not Daenerys' largest dragon; that would be the black one, Drogon.

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Ygritte wasn't trying to kill Jon. She's an expert archer and wouldn't have missed her mark at that range. She was trying to hurt Jon as he had hurt her.

Chad-gon Targaryen

I have a sneaking suspicion these guys may not like Pedro as much as they think they will

Asbjørn Kennedy

Tbf Ygritte said she’d kill Jon if he ever betrayed her, which he did, so I think Carter was cooking

Kayla Jemmott

so excited for season 4 ahhhh

Chad-gon Targaryen

idk I’m just saying there a bit about his character that I don’t think they will like all that much. Especially given their prior reactions to GOT.

JaJa

that shit made me laugh out loud so hard

JaJa

Wait, so how long in between we gotta wait for season 4 ep 1? You said you wanna marinate a bit 🥺

Reilly Keith

I’d love to see you guys watch every HBO show. The Sopranos, Succession, The White Lotus

Seth Aasland

season 4 is about to HIT

Sean Carroll

Carter is completely right about Ygritte, Cannon is too overemotional

Sean Carroll

Can already tell Carter will hate the later seasons given his comments this video

Sean Carroll

Not compared to aot season 3 and 4 imo but yeah it is the best of game of thrones

Sean Carroll

Season 6 as a whole is pretty average with an incredible final two episodes but that doesn’t fix it for me. Season 5 is a 6/10 and season 6 is a 7/10. Then we go downhill in season 7 and 8

Sean Carroll

Ramsay makes Joffrey look like a cute puppy And yes I’m being serious

Sean Carroll

Yeah season 4 is the final amazing season. After that the show goes downhill fast with still a couple of amazing episodes sprinkled in

Sean Carroll

Ramsay genuinely might be the most evil character ever put on screen. Joffrey is more of a brat with power. Ramsay is truly dangerous

Sean Carroll

True but it hits harder in the show for me given all 3 die and just after the happy news of the baby

leah

both of those are 10/10s but season 4 of GOT is the goat i fear

Sean Carroll

I say only one weak episode but yeah it’s the best season in the show

Sean Carroll

He wasn’t perfect like Ned was. Rob broke his oath and ruined the entire northern regime. He deserved it. I still like his character but there it too much love for robb imo

Sean Carroll

No not at all. Aot and breaking bad have better episodes. But yes season 4 is got best season

Sean Carroll

While I do hate her Carter isn’t wrong. Carter is clearly the level headed brother and cannon is the emotional one. Both have positives and negatives

Sean Carroll

I laughed so hard at that because I just remembered she doesn’t say a word that scene anyway haha

Sean Carroll

Season 6 is an average season with only two amazing final episodes. The rest is poor. So many writing issues

Sean Carroll

This is what the comments section is for. Discussion, agreement and disagreement. Nothing wrong with calling them out

Sean Carroll

I will never watch that scene without cringing. Daenerys is such a bad character that it’s weird to me how loved she is

Sean Carroll

Ygritte and Jon were not rushed. The chemistry began in season 2 and then developed in season 3. The love story is a standout in Jon’s story compared to a certain love story later which is just terribly written, forced and rushed. I hope you all know the one I mean

Sean Carroll

To me that was when cannon truly lost the argument. Carter was spitting facts the whole time and cannon throwing out a nothing response just admitted defeat in my eyes

Sean Carroll

His downfall was marrying talysa. Karstark wouldn’t have happened if not for that

Sean Carroll

Oh his bi sexual nature you mean? If that’s all then I’m sure they will ignore that

Ana

I'm trying not to curse so much lol

Christian Hawkins

I mean they setup & justified Ygritte’s actions beautifully… she did give him fair warning & also she’s not just a Wildling she’s about that life type of Wildling…

izzy

that scene in particular is just a very emotionally charged moment, with everything contextually happening as well as the cinematography and music combined - very epic and good acting. and i’m just emotional asf with books and movies in general lmao. it’s very interesting to me that you’d say she’s a “bad” character though, no hate, just wondering why? if you can’t say for spoilers that’s fine, have you read the books as well or are you a show only? for curiosity’s sake

Kai Harwood

The entrance through the wall into the Nightfort is actually a magical door called the Blackgate with a carved face, it only opens when you saw the nightswatch vow.

darra

I think if Tyrion's mother wasn't also a lannister (Tywin's cousin) Tywin would have killed him.

Blackeyedlily

As bad as the Red Wedding is, I think one of the hardest things to watch this season is Theon’s story. In the books he disappeared for one entire book. When he returned he was physically and psychologically crippled. It was obvious that he had been through some horrific torture. And slowly, you learn about some of it. But most of the details are never told. George Martin understands that the unknown can be even worse terror than knowing all the details of a story. I understand that film is a different medium and requires some changes to translate a story. But one of my biggest criticisms of this adaptation of the books is that it feels like the show runners are too gratuitous with the sex and violence in order to shock their audience and appear edgy. And unfortunately they also seem to dismiss or minimize some of the themes of the books that give them their emotional depth. They were famously quoted in an interview to say that themes were for 8th grade book reports. I think this is one of their bigger problems and resulted in some of the criticism that came with their later seasons, when they were less dependent on the books for their storylines.

Sean Carroll

I think Theon was gone for 2 books. Ramsay captures him at the end of clash of kings and he doesn’t appear in storm of swords or feast for crows I think. Pretty sure he returns in a dance with dragons. From what I remember, doesn’t Theon lose 3 or 4 fingers and have to eat his own fingers for nourishment? He also is forced to eat rats despite having lost most of his teeth. Book Theon also has white and brittle hair after all the years being locked up, tortured etc. show Theon has it rough but book Theon is insanely tragic

Him Mori

You trippin… Joffrey’s done vile things to people who are undeserving, Ramsey’s only tortured Theon. Even if you’re to talking about later seasons (no spoilers), what Joffrey did to Rose TWICE is worse than anything Ramsey did to she who shan’t be named.

Bri-Ana Monique

can’t wait for season 4 episode 1 😍

Sean Carroll

Absolutely wrong. Ramsay does some of the most horrific things to people in future episodes. Joffrey is a brat with power but Ramsay is actually able to back up his danger. Some of the stuff Ramsay does is flat out sickening

sushi

S4 is so good!! I'm so excited for y'all to watch it

Sean Carroll

Oh no I said he’s bi sexual, what an insanely important piece of information I have ruined for them. The story is now ruined by me accidentally spoiling them on one of the most critical pieces of information in the show. Sarcasm for those who don’t get it

chaosmerchant

Do we know when season 4 is going to start?

victoria t

Forgot about the rat king story 👀… But screw Roose Bolton that traitorous cow

Kris

Remember what Ramsay said, “if you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention”

Dani G

That final scene with Dany is in my top 3. The musical score, Dany’s smile, and just the way she earns the love and respect of her compatriots always warms my heart.

Dani G

In Westeros, the penalty for treason is death. Ygritte shooting Jon is in line with the customs. He’s a traitor to her people. Not saying it’s right or ethical, but totally with Carter on this. Even Ned brought traitors to the sword.

tp

He's only been locked up several months iirc but in that short time, yeah his hair has gone white and he's been completely brutalized

tp

Wdym? Imo Karstark wouldn't have happened if he hadn't killed the Lannister boys. Walder Frey wouldn't have happened if not for marrying Talisa, but going to Walder Frey wouldn't have happened if not for Karstark. His big mistake imo was executing him instead of just imprisoning him, like OP said

Ash Hale

I can't wait for them to see Pedros character, it's gonna blow their minds.

Secretly

damn I'm late, but I think the thing with Ygritt is that she said it was him and her, and when he couldn't kill the guy she faught with him killing other wildlings, and while she's fighting John just dipped 😂
