Not a spoiler, since the following can be derived from information already mentioned in the show: Phoebe itself was the delivery “package” sent by “someone” from outside our solar system, billions of years ago. Earth was its apparent target, but it was caught by the gravity of Saturn and ended up orbiting that planet as one of its moons. [Scientists have already determined that Phoebe originated from outside our solar system based on its orbital behavior.] At the time it was headed to Earth, life here was essentially just one-celled organisms, so it wouldn’t have attacked any humans.

 There was, coincidentally, a science station run by an Earth corp on Phoebe, and they just happened to find the protomolecule and began testing it to see what it could do.

Hey, finally joined your patreon because I LOVE this show. little details. The Guy Molinari is a ship taking its name from a NY State politician who hailed from Staten Island. There is also a SI ferry named the Guy Molinari and I believe one of the book authors used to ride the Guy Molinari when they lived in NYC. It caught my attention as I also lived in NYC in the 80's and 90's so I knew of Guy Molinari. The Roci is red when it is in running mode and turns blue in battle mode. Earth ships do the opposite colors! I find it kind of hilarious that Amos is fixing the ship in the middle of a life or death battle but such is the reality of space battles in the future!! This is the first episode where it is driven home that there is no such thing as force fields!! Bullets, rail gun slugs etc go right through your ship and hopefully don't hit anything important!! (Rail gun slugs would be even worse of course...) I am looking forward to future reactions. If you can tolerate spacing the Black Sky guy, you will be alright!!
