“This [movie] is as important to the Special Relationship as anything that ever happened in the 90s” - Chris

On this week’s episode, we’re chatting about one of the most financially successful but also grating rom-coms of all time, Notting Hill! How is Hugh Grant keeping this travel bookstore in business? Was anyone gonna buy that cool Beavis and Butt-head stained glass window? Why is Jules acting so tired and bored in this one? And how did they let the final edit come out this shoddy? PLUS: Steve gives a British door update!

Notting Hill stars Julia Roberts, Hugh Grant, James Dreyfus, Gina McKee, Tim McInnerny, Emma Chambers, Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Clarke Peters, Mischa Barton, and Rhys Ifans as Spike; directed by Roger Michell.

I remember my mom dragging me kicking and screaming to see this movie in the theater (I was 12). I then proceeded to have one of the best theater experiences of my life, I’ve rarely enjoyed a movie so much. It just completely worked on me, I was charmed by the romance, and on the floor laughing at the jokes.

I cannot wait to hear next week's episode, I loved Safehouse. Such a fun bad movie. Can't wait to hear all the Pat Stew impressions to go flying. Also he's D.I.A., Defense Intelligence Agency and he will emphatically point it out every damn time. Lol

It’s annoying that you can’t post images here because I live in London and my front door has a peep hole! We exist!
