Also notice how Alastor only started trying to act like father figure to get to Lucifer. Alastor is also taking opportunity to use Charlie’s daddy issues to manipulate her for his own goals. Notice how everything he does for the hotel he gets things in returns. Alastor had a problem with Lucifer because he’s more powerful and gets in the way of that. He makes small deals where no harm is done to slowly lead them into making bigger deals. Alastor is a psychopath who was a serial killer when he was alive and tortured and killed overlords to set the point in hell that he’s powerful and make an example because fear feeds his ego. We need to remember that. He’s not there because he wants to be there, from our understanding he’s bound by a deal.
