A Date with Death Game Announcement + Love Interest Character Design (Patreon)

It's finally time to announce our new project properly (just for our lovely patrons, of course)! A Date with Death is our next 'short' game that will be worked on alongside Dreambound once The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon is released next month!

A Date with Death is a chatsim style visual novel with a full character creator (you'll be able to create your own main character, complete with a sprite), and above you can see the love interest (his full design will be based on the left most sprite).

This game will be free to play, and launching with an optional DLC that will add some extra customisation options and choices throughout the game, as well as one additional ending.

A Date with Death will also feature full voice acting during the video call sections of the game. We plan to have some names voiced, so the love interest can refer to your main character by name if you choose one of the voiced names. We'll open up a form to our Patrons this month to submit a name they would like to see voiced in game.

So, what's the game about?

In A Date with Death, you take on the role of a character who has been lucky enough to unknowingly be avoiding death their whole life. However, that luck is about to run out when the Grim Reaper contacts you, claiming that it's time for your soul to be handed over. But you're not ready to go down without a fight, because otherwise there wouldn't be any game to play! 

It'll be a fun little enemies to lovers game with a lot of humor, but also an overarching storyline and some drama (as per usual for us). We're really excited for the customizable aspects of the game, which we'll be showcasing over the next couple of months, too!
