Darwin 4081 (Patreon)

 I made this painting of Darwin 4081 for the Mega Drive. A port of the  arcade game Super Real Darwin by Data East. I think is one of the most  unappreciated shoot 'em ups for the system. Wanted to do something like an old magazine ad or arcade flyer using 2 of the main forms of the  ship/creature thingy: Gashallu and Black Deame (in the background) and  some EVOL creatures (those round things floating)
Love the game, its  strange setting and visuals, that maybe look bland at first but it has a  consistent (yet bizarre) style through all the game. Also the music  helps set the mood with curious melodies and the most important thing;  The evolution system. Simple at first but it has more depth than it  looks.
