Game Update 0.0.8.0 - December 2023 (Patreon)

Christmas

Ooooh I really wanted this update to come out a bit earlier to give you all the chance to play the Christmas update. We got a bunch of new outfits for the girls during the season. We also have a new Christmas quest together with Hazel to check out.

CGs

I am pretty sure that I hit a record this month in terms of the amount of CGs we could produce. My team has been working like absolute crazy and has put out SIX brand new CGs as well as making variations on old ones. Keep in mind that back in my Orange Trainer days you'd be lucky to get 1 new CG per update. How far we've come...

That said, I really pushed my artists this time around and it would be unfair of me to expect the same in the future. For now, I hope you will enjoy the new content. A lot of love went into them.

Favors

The favor system is back! Well at least partially. Both Emma and Amber now have favors you can ask of them in return for reform tokens. Want to relive the scene or simply want to charge your camera? Now you can for a handful of shiny shiny tokens.

The idea is to get them working for Penelope and Lola in the next update. That said, Favors require alot of work / art, so I can't promise that both of them will be released at the same time.

Extra Stuff

Some new bonus stuff got added as well. There are two new fairy statues to find and display in your cabin. Once the lake has been cleaned up, it can now be populated with background characters. And a new set of Archelean words can now be unlocked in the forest. Oh...! Right and did I mention that there's a simple side quest that rewards you a lesbian picture? Oh la la~...!

There was a serious rush to try and get this out the door before the deadline, so there might be some stuff here and there that rattles a bit. If you come across any bugs, please let me know and i'll try getting them fixed asap.

Expect a bugfixing patch sooner or later!

Vacation

Oh jeeze... I feel really awkward saying this, but I am taking a trip for the first time in 15 months. The problem with being a creator on Patreon is that taking a day off feels like a betrayal to you guys. Of course working non-stop comes with its own set of challenges, one of them is burnout.

Luckily I'm not at that point yet, but prevention is better than cure, so I've decided to take a week off over the Christmas period. I'll still take my laptop with me, but besides sketching out some future ideas and (potential) future games, I hopefully won't do much CMW relates stuff.

Hopefully I'll return refreshed and with lots of inspiration!

Wrapping up

And that's about it for this month's update. Phew~... didn't mean to hit you guys with such a wall of text. I hope you are all doing well. I freaking love Christmas and I really want to visit some Christmas markets, drink gluhwein and watch Christmas movies.

But for now... I am off to finish my IKEA kitchen! Some stuff was missing which caused a delay... >.> but now it's nearly done! You guys have yourself a very very very merry Christmas (or holiday of your choice) and I will catch you again in the new year.
