Welcome to the show notes for episode 54!

Before we jump right in, I would like to apologise for suggesting Mark Zuckerberg is a reptile. Mark's people contacted TPL and said they would sue the shit out of us and close our page if we didn't zip it. (no one tell them about the secret society, though. I'm serious).

Mark actually responded to allegations, here.

To say sorry, here are some photos of Mark functioning like a normal adult human.

And in case you needed my other point about birds to be illustrated, this is kind of what we're looking at:

And I apologise for the following disturbing image, please do not show children:

jesus. At this scale humans are like......... an ant.

ANYWAY. Moving on with today's show notes!

On this episode we talked about the possession of Remy Chua by the spirit of Teresita Basa. A woman who was tragically killed in Chicago, 1977.

On a tangent, just why is Chicago called the Windy City? No-one knows. Because it's not actually very windy.

In fact here's a list of places also known as the windy city.

I DIGRESS.

Here's a street view of Pine Grove Ave. where it all went down.

Here's the apartment block that went up in flames.

And here is Teresita herself. RIP.

Here's the detective on the case, Joe Stachula.

And the guilty party, Mr Allan Showery

This case was actually dramatised into a TV show 'Unsolved Mysteries' which you can watch right here on youtube!

To read extras about this case, here are some good articles online...

Chicago Now

Washington Post

And where are they now? I hear you ask. Well according to this interesting write-up, Showery shacked up with a woman that stood by him throughout the trial, and moved back to New York state. Teresita's family, took her body back to the Philippines.

I love how the Wiki you guys link to mentions how windy it feels when you walk by the Masonic Lodge in Chicago. -Cue the Illuminati jokes now- "Walk past the Masonic Temple or the Auditorium any day even though it may be perfectly calm elsewhere, and you will meet with a lively breeze at the base of the building that will compel you to put your hand to your hat."
