Regards to Letter… a reason some people read it as a romantic song is that jimin released his handwritten notes of the original draft… and they were written with 당신만, which means a specific, singular “you,” not an ambiguous “you all.” So it started out being for one person. The song might have evolved from there to be about army instead, or it could be about multiple things or feelings, like you mentioned in your stream. Or jimin may simply have chosen to make his “love letter” more ambiguous to avoid drama. Because let’s be real, this is the guy who had to apologize to fans because of female dancers touching him. The only safe thing for him to say is that the song is about fans. So yeah… people aggressively shutting other people down with “HE SAID ITS FOR ARMY” is also kind of shitty, when it’s obviously more complicated than that.
