Uhm how is Rem and Ram's backstory about a little kid problem? The insecurity of getting overlooked is literally one of the most common deeper psychological problems among adults. And Johnny's prediction also don't makes any sense, why would Subaru end up in a situation where he consoles Ram who don't even has any known kind of insecurity that someone from our modern world would possibly better know how to handle than an actually pretty confident demon from a strange + magical medievalish world? Oh and btw, Re Zero is not an Isekai Harem but a straight up deconstruction of the Isekai Harem genre(in a relatively similar sense like Neon Genesis Evangelion isn't a Mecha Adventure Show but a deconstruction of the whole genre for example, Re Zero is not quite as ambitious though).

Its a little kid problem to me. I grew out of comparing myself a long time ago. And your right it is super common, which is also why its a boring topic to explore for me. Everyones dealt with it at least once in there life and i see it so often in anime that if its not done in enough detail it does not keep me invested what so ever
