As someone who's watched the anime from day 1 when it first started to air all the way to episode 170 it was one hella of journey for me. This episode specifically got me pretty emotional for multiple reasons and the obvious one being Liebe's sad past with Licita (Asta's mother), but also the fact that this could possibly be the end of the Black Clover anime permanently since if it never comes back the animators put their all into this final episode so that the anime ended off on a really high note similar to "Hunter x Hunter". Since I'm caught up to both the anime and manga my overall rating would be an 8.5/10 (objectively) and damn near 10/10 (subjectively) mainly due to how much I enjoyed this series. It definitely has its positives and negatives, but in my opinion the positives easily outweigh the negatives for the most part.

Besides the anime ending for now the only thing we have to look forward to is the movie and we barely know anything about it. Though there seems like there's gonna be some big announcement at Jump Festa for the Movie that will happen sometime in December.

As a manga reader I can definitely say that it only gets better where the anime stopped. Without spoiling anything this current arc (The Spade Kingdom Raid arc) has the highest peaks in Black Clover so far (imo), there's so many fights compact together on such a high scale the power creep and progression is through the roof, there's a lot characterization and development that was needed for the BC cast and new mysteries that leave us with even more questions. The anime ending was a blessing in disguise, because I have no idea how they would be able to adapt everything properly without the animation quality severely dropping.

Henry's curse only robs people of Mana, while Licita's magic robs both mana and the victims life, which means being near her will kill you.

What you missed: She doesn't only only suck magic/mana but she also sucks life force so it doesn't make a difference whether Asta has magic or not. 2 The grimoire chose Asta, Liebe had nothing to do with it.

Dope reaction fellas, and just as a heads up the grimoire itself chose Asta (grimoires in general are still a mystery) but yeah by fate the grimoire chose Asta and Liebe(Asta's devil) just happened to be in it. Some speculate that since Asta is the only being with no magic that's why. Because remember Liebe said (by some twist of fate the grimoire chose Asta) also Liebe means "love" in german and in some of the black clover openings some of the letters are scribbled out and it spells out "love" yeah just some easter eggs. Regarding Asta's mom (Licita) her bodily condition that steals mana and lifeforce is separate from her actual magic (which is storing manaless things into other manaless things) so even though Asta has no magic there was still a possibility she could steal his life force. So her condition is more dangerous than Henry's since Henry's curse steals just mana, but her condition steals mana and lifeforce whether if it's a curse or something else entirely is yet to be revealed. Just a quick fun fact "Asta" means love in old Scandinavian while "Liebe" means love in German.

cant believe this is your last reaction to this show for a while 🥲 I usually don’t like reading manga but I’m READING the manga for BC and it’s SO good rn 😭 I hope that when the anime does come back they do this arc justice because it’s so great.

lmao still one of the biggest mysteries. I'm really enjoying the manga rn though. I actually started reading the manga after the elfr arc aired since I didn't want to wait for the timeskip. Never regretted it, and i've been enjoying it since!

Zagred the first devil appeared Patri used all the stones including yuno(so its just like the other "ordinary" stones) to complete the reincarnation but this was just the trigger for his entrance in realm between the underworld and humanworld (The shadow palace, the one where they enter the labyrinth kind of thing with the different elves in each room) it was said a devil can only appear with both sides of influence/anomaly

Beyond happy that you guys enjoyed the series :) The manga right now is in its peak and imo has already surpassed the Elf Invasion arc with its high stakes and amazing character developments accompanied with its unpredictable moments. The Spade Arc focuses all of its attention on our main 3 characters, putting everything they've learned over the last years and truly showing the true colors of their roles in the series. Black Clover imo has never failed to drive the story into a direction that didn't feel forced and its continuing to do so! As you probably heard, BC is getting a movie which I hope will cover a percentage of the next arc due to how much action and use of detial there is in the manga. The only way they'd be able to cover most of it in high quality is for a movie, but if not, I'd at least like it to be canon. That being said I hope we can the anime return in 2023! Thanks guys for reacting to this series!

Each of Licht's swords has their own power, they are all anti magic swords but it's only secondary, their primary powers are: 1st sword- magic deflection 2nd sword- magic absorption (but this is more specifically borrowing magic from people you have close ties with) 3rd sword- reverses the effects of magic spell that's already been casted (it's different from anti magic)

The reason why one of the devils was able to make it out the one that you're talking about is because he discarded his body you have to remember these devils have physical bodies and they literally can't come out with their physical bodies so he discarded his body to make it out of the underworld so he needed to possess an elf or he needed to summon his body back from the underworld

Yeah this finale is one of the best. Really ties the show together. It's been a journey and hopefully more episodes will aire sooner rather than later. And Magna turns the fuck up. The continuation of the spade arc is straight fire. Fight after fight. Reveal after reveal.

We didn't want to spoil you guys for this ep because is really special. Thanks for watching the series and giving your thoughts every time you had the chance. Yeah Asta is such a good person that we got to protect at all cost, now he is not only carrying his burdens but his brother's as well, and my man was trainning all his life so that when his time was in front of him he wouldnt miss the chance. We have to remember that the only one that knows that he is Licita's son is only Liebe and thats the only reason that he accepted the ritual, if it would have been any other devil, he would have denied or betrayed my man.

That was it for black clover atleast for big gap of time, but henry do not get the life force he just drain mana but if you get close to her for too long she would su.k you dry(life and mana) 😐😳😅 but yeah 🤝👍
