*Suyin I liked this episode for how real it showed struggling with trauma. It comes full circle at the end. Zaofu (Metal Clan) is Lin's city. She purchased the land with her inheritance from Toph. Thinking about it tho, Lin is probably one of if not the richest person in Avatar.

I always get their names mixed up lol 😆. And I figured Toph saw Zaofu becoming like the places she grew up

This episode was just like the one in ATLA with Zuko going off alone to find out about himself. It even had the cutting off ur hair scene that both Zuko and Iroh did near a body of water.

Korra has PTSD so its not really a "little" thing. something like that can hold someone back for years. For example, someone in the military may have to go through years of therapy to be able to be near something like fireworks again. It just takes one traumatic event to scar you for life, no matter how small or long it was. Plus she is recovering from mercury poisoning.
