Yall are still not understanding korra. She isnt frolicking her title. She blames herself because she's the damn avatar. She should be able to fix this. God man people take things out of context so damn much. And yes, Zaheer has combat training. He's not a pro at all. You see he's only using air to jump around and kick. Korra is stronger from this season forward. Raava was so small she could fit in a tea pot. After defeating Vaatu she rejoined with Korra and was so big Korra rode on her

Chris was right Zaheer is just nice and now he has airbending. I mean they had all that security for a non bender and he’s knowledgeable about air nomad legends so... They never really get into how the airbenders are chosen so I just accepted it as random selection. After harmonic convergence and the spiritual energy the world is balancing itself with the elements. Other than that the story is well rounded so you’ll get your answers. Straight up can’t wait to get into it.

The theory bout new airbenders is basically everyone who got it is a nonbender who is also a descendants of an air bender. During the 100 year war the air NOMADS that werent at the temples, hid. Alot of them fell into traps and others changed their tattoos and suppressed their spirituality, even marrying into other families. Now with this influx of external spiritual energy it has activated the airbending ability for the decedents. Also there could have been defendants of airbenders before the war. For example Avatar Kyoshi’s mom was an airbending nun n father was from the earth kingdom. She became an earth bender naturally. Kyoshi’s fans are from her mother’s side.
