This episode wasn't even that bad. Other than the korra mako stuff. The Tenzin stuff was awesome. And other than Bolin being dumb, Unalaq finally coming out as the asshole we knew he was was satisfying. This season picks up in episode 7. So get through 5 and 6 and you'll be out of the worst of korra.

Yeah the first few episodes and finale are a bit.. rough in execution. But man once you hit episode 7 of this season, the whole series does a 180.

I would say Tenzin is a big enough character for screen-time development. Korra grows (overtime) to be a better Avatar and Tenzin grows to be a better mentor by confronting his short-comings with help from his family. But yeah, the story's all over the place. Always an A+ on the action, though.

The mako comment is because every time he says something she says he’s taking sides so of course he’s not gonna wanna make waves because Korra always blows up on him. So I don’t blame mako there.
