This is the last strip of this second year of Charlie’s strips (or season, it’s more professional if I call it season) and I’m ending it with this strip which has the potential to trigger some people…

Burkinis (it’s not a derogatory term, that’s the official name given by the stylist who designed) are not so uncommon to find today on a beach or a pool, and every summer, the same people complaining for topless or extremely shrunken swimsuit complain also if women are too clothed. Many times for both cases they say children to be scared of them, but the only one reason is to affirm their discrimination over another culture who have a different approach to body public showing. If a woman freely chooses to use this swimsuit she has the right to wear it. Maybe it’s not what we expect to see on a beach, but bikinis and thongs are not what we had on beaches in the early days of beach life: swimsuit were almost full body and even wearing grandma pants could cause a fine!

We should be always free to wear what we want and not to impose our habits to those who don’t agree with them. Also Charlie’s solution to the problem is not perfect, but at least is good considering the low degree of attention people have.

And last but not list, people wearing burkinis don’t risk skin diseases caused by UV rays! We should all wear them, including men! 😆😆😆

Charlie’s strips stops for some weeks, just the time to recharge and we will restart in September with new strips!

I’ll never get over how stupid people have become…if it doesn’t hurt anyone, why jump through hoops to tear down someone for having a different approach to something? Fully covered or two pieces of string with some cloth, everyone is there for the same thing. To have a good time. Great message!
