Happy Friday VIP Primos!

Welcome back for the 50TH Episode Celebration of Run BTS Part 3! Last time we saw the guys they had been teleported to Lotte World to continue their celebration! So here we are.....

Heads up, today's epside contains LOTS OF SCREAMING! 😱 The guys are riding through a scary pirate ship while playing a guessing game. Which team wins? And what is this awesome prize that we are very curious about?

I was chilling with friends after going out to eat together and decided to reheat my leftovers later on in the night without thinking about the fact I had broccoli and everyone immediately clocked me on it lmao, i wasnt even thinking about it when i threw it in the microwave bc other pals were doing the same but they didn't have veggies lol. unfortunately i made that house stank and immediately (and funnily) got shamed for it. imagine 6 really drunk people flaming u for ur broccoli- lesson learnt lmao

When they say letter it’s supposed to be syllables or syllable blocks as they call them in korean. A syllable block can consist of 2-4 letters. For example the word for love 사랑 is made of two blocks: 사 - 랑. Hope that made sense.

Daniel when you finish eating the ramen noodles put rice into the left over soup. The rice will catch all the remaining liquid and spices. Delicious game changer.

daniel was on the right track, korean is structured by syllables. although there is some sort of a korean alphabet, it is more phonetic sounding. there also isn't a korean 'letter' for every letter of the english alphabet. "letters" are essentially syllables and depending on the sound can equate to 2 english letters, the korean 'letter' for b has the same sound b has in english but also has the same sound as v thus it is used in place of both letters. more commonly 'letters' are 2 or more alphabet letters put together for example jimin would be "ji" "min" but in korean 'run bts' is 'dal' 'ryeo' 'ra' 'bang' 'tan' which is 5 letters but as you can see it clearly has more letters than that, this is because of romanization. i learnt this on my own and on duolingo so if any korean primos wanted to correct or explain further please do!!

Daniel got the right concept! The game on the rollercoaster was memorizing alternating syllables to make a sentence. So "Bang-tan So-nyeon-dan" where person A would have "bang" "so" "dan" and person B would have "tan" "nyeon"

The entire popcorn talk had me feeling SEEN. I was going through health issues in 2021 and I was nauseous pretty much 24/7 for months straight. My mother, an avid popcorn eater, would make popcorn and the smell would seep through the vents and just spread everywhere in the house. Let's just say it did NOT help my nausea LOL. I couldn't eat popcorn again or even smell popcorn without getting nauseous until this year 😭😭 I was truly scarred.

on the topic of office food/kitchen, I'm in Australia and always very culturally diverse. Absolutely no offence to any culture but just for me personally cannot eat nor stand the smell of strong spices & lamb. It's too often curry, lamb & fish are microwaved in the office... And we have open kitchen, open office... Man, I feel sick with the smell... Jimin on the pirate ship cracks me up every time XD the screams & he had to hold Tae's hand so tight XDDD He's not built for crazy rides, just let him go on a merry go round

Pro tip: make eggrice to eat with your ramen soup. Just heat up your rice on a pan, add eggs, mix together, season wtih salt,pepper and garlic powder. Keep it on the side as you eat your ramen. Take a spoonful of egg rice, dip it i soup.

My biggest pet peeves is strong perfume especially when I'm eating or in enclosed spaces. I hate it when I can taste the scent of perfume at the back of my tongue.

Daniel was definitely on the right track with the last game's rules but the thing that makes it so different doing it in Korean vs in English is how most words and sentences are actually constructed in each language. In the last game they were given a string of syllables that they had to memorize, and in the end they had to go back and forth and say their syllables one by one to string together a coherent sentence. In English this isn't that complicated, given that most words are a single syllable long. In Korean however, most words are at least two syllables long and many syllables in Korean are suffixes, prefixes, ''roots'' or otherwise commonly seen across Korean vocabulary and grammar. Maybe an English equivalent would be prefixes like ''ex-'' (expert, exact, expect, excuse, etc...). So instead of having to remember a string of random one syllable words and maybe one suffix, imagine having to remember a sting of random root syllables, suffixes, prefixes and grammatical particles that you can't be 100% sure which word it belongs to. For example if one of the syllables they had to remember was ''이'' (pronounced ''ii'') you wouldn't be sure if it's a stand-alone word meaning ''this'' or the Sino-Korean number 2, if it belongs to the start/middle/end of another word, or if it's a grammatical particle. It's just a lot more random in Korean even if someone was able to guess the missing syllables lol. I hope that makes sense 😁

I like to pour out some of the soup when my ramen is done cooking and add a little cheese or kewpie mayo. It tones the heat down a little if it’s spicy and makes it creamy and it’s delicious. Not healthy. But delicious. 😂

For Gabriel and the headaches from rides, it could be a bit of motion sickness. I get like that on some rollercoasters esp. the ones that are a bit longer. Might be worth using a pill or a patch before Six Flags to see if it helps? Have fun guys!

Funny story about popcorn. I used to work for a company that packaged VHS & DVD's for the big named companies like Disney, Warner, etc. and one of the companies had a popcorn promotion to shrinkwrap a pouch of microwave popcorn to the back of the VHS tape, needless to say when the VHS tape went through the oven to shrink the wrap around the tape, the butter inside the pouch melted a little and the whole plant smelled like buttered popcorn................. the promotion lasted weeks................😂 We couldn't wait for that promotion to be over. 😄

you’re right the whistle was part of his outfit lol. he had like 3 different ones if i remember correctly, he wore them a lot for a while. they’re Visvim necklaces, namjoon wears that brand a lot. i think he wore one in BV3 like there was a whole scene of him blowing the whistle or something like that 😭😭

In Korea, convenience stores often have ramen cookers. customers can select their preferred instant ramen from the shelves, use the ramen cooker to boil water, and cook the noodles right in the store then of course eat it. The ramen cookers are equipped with built-in heating elements and sometimes have features like adjustable cooking times and built-in timers. But you can also buy them for your home

It’s Lotte world and has many complexes indoor and out. They were in the inside theme park. It probably has been featured in some K Drama but they have a few theme parks. Everland is the biggest and I know is featured in a few K Drama’s as well.

whenever you see letters they mean syllables, that's how Korean is "built" so lets say Bangtan is "two letters" Bang-tan, so if they were doing that game with their full name bang-tan so-nyeon-dan one member would have to memorize bang so dan and the other tan nyeon (hope that makes sense)
