I value the elements of the story you often focus on in your after-watch commentary. It helps me remember that different people prioritize different facets of a given narrative, and that everything in the film deserves scrutiny. Your comment around the familial conflicts here were particularly insightful. You also posed an interesting question regarding the physical condition of the actors in these shows, and whether audiences might relate to the stories differently if the character had more every day physiques. I think that’s a very interesting question because 1. That element of the issue had literally never occurred to me before and 2. It’s totally different than the concerns those highly muscular and lean bodies bring up for me. So thank you for lending what was, for me, a brand new angle to consider on this topic (and not for the first time.) Take care. p.s. I feel I want to add a drama to the two comedies I always recommend. Watching Michael Douglas here reminded me of a very memorable film he made back in his prime called The Game which I think you would find worthwhile. Along, of course, with my two evergreen suggestions, A Fish Called Wanda (a semi-farce comedy) and Four Weddings And A Funeral (a truly exceptional romcom).

Thank you for such a lovely comment! Sometimes I feel like I'm not giving a lot of added value with my outro thoughts, so this is a nice reminder that, as you said, we all prioritize and focus on different things. And thank you for the recommendations! A Fish Called Wanda & Four Weddings and a Funeral in particular have been suggested a few times, so I'll try to check those out soon :)
