279 - Work Work. (Patreon)

Hello, guys. How is everyone doing? I wills keep this short if you don't mind.

Work. I am still working on finalizing the main tool of progression in the game: Jasmine's training stuff. To be honest I was a bit dishearten to discover how much stuff I was still missing. Some events were not coded in right, text was missing in some places. There were a few instances where I could swear I did write an event but it was no where to be found, not in the game itself nor in my notes. My guess is that I did plan it out in my head at the time and afterwards forgot to actually write it down.

That being said, both week and the week before were very productive. This week I hope to finally be done with all the training events and move on to the actual endings. There are 28 training events in the game with 3 different (illustrated) outcomes each. The main idea is for the player to slowly train Jasmine while perusing all sorts of side stuff in the game world not related to the main story.

The endings. The training will be ending with you helping Jasmine to make the final choice: decide who is she going to marry. I still haven't decided how many endings I will be incorporating. Since this is something I could add in Gold Edition (if you like the game) I will probably go with a relatively small number, 4 or 5 not more. That being said I am still missing artwork for "good ending" where Jasmine decides to marry Genie. Also I really want to throw in Rajah as secret ending, but I am really worried that it could get me in trouble in a long run, even if I don't make it too explicit. Dunno, I'll decide this later I guess (even though the artwork is ready).

Although the plan was to keep this post short, I sort of rumbled on and now we have a whole wall of text :) Oh well, I hope you enjoyed reading it, and I hope I didn't spoil too much. As usual all I talk about is a subject to changes (but you knew that already).

Cover. Oh, and despite feeling a bit low on energy today I did dedicate a bit of time to draw a cover drawing for this post, I hope you will appreciate it.
