Yerin - Sketch (Patreon)

This commissioner was interested in seeing the drawing process so I will post the unaltered sketch in case any of you are interested in my process as well.

About the art:

• References: I keep the reference images on the file and so I can constantly refer to them.
• Background colour: I work with brown backgrounds or grey because its easier on the eyes. People often forget that screens aren't paper, they are light, and if you are using a white background for long periods it can be very harmful to your eyes.
• The white blade: During the drawing process, i like to see where the blade is going to fit into the composition, but I don't want to redraw more than I have to, so I draw the blade seperate so I can move the arm and hand wherever I want and have an idea where the blade will fit without having to constantly redraw hair.
• RIght: That arrow in the bottom with "Right" above it is because I contantly flip the canvas and since the references get flipped too, I need to make sure I don't forget the correct orientation!
